Nestled in the Pigeon Cove neighborhood, a sweet spot between beaches, Bearskin Neck, and Halibut Point, The Nest is your home base for exploring Cape Ann, Salem, Boston, and more…and an oasis where your friends and family can gather to relax and recharge. Hang out in the open floorplan, grill out on the deck, or cook in the well-appointed kitchen and gather round the table for a family meal. Or enjoy one of the many private spots to play, work, read, or nap. There's no place like The Nest! Notes about sleeping arrangements: * There are five beds: ---Bedroom #1 (first floor): King bed ---Bedroom #2 (second floor): King bed ---Bedroom #3 (second floor): Two Twin XL beds. We can connect these to make a King upon advance request. ---Office (second floor): Twin bed. This room has doors that close but everyone has to walk through it to get to the bathroom. * The house sleeps 6 comfortably in bedrooms and 7 if you use the twin bed in the office. * All rooms with beds have room-darkening shades. * The beds and pillows are of varying firmness, so if you don't like one, try another! * See the floorplan in the photos for more info.
The hosts were fantastic and thought of every detail. I highly recommend this beautiful house in Pigeon Cove. There's plenty of hiking and restaurants, and you can walk to downtown Rockport. We made excursions to Salem and Glouster. However, our most memorable moments were spent together as a family inside the house. The kitchen was well stocked and there are clever details to discover in every room. A gem!
This house was so comfortable and fully stocked with anything my family and I need. We stayed for 3 nights and it was rainy the whole time but we didn’t mind at all because the house was so cozy and really has everything that we possibly need. The owner is so thoughtful and responsive and flexible in accommodating our request. I highly recommend this place, we had a wonderful time and wonderful memories going around. Super nice location as well, close to beautiful trails and historic landmarks. It is also easy to get to Salem and Boston. The design of the house is also so aesthetically pleasing and furniture and bedding are so comfy. When we arrived, the house was very clean and tidy. Definitely a 5 star accommodation. :) Thank you for having us!
This beautiful home is a real treasure! So many sweet, thoughtful details everywhere. Comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Extremely clean! And if you love books, you will think you’re in heaven! Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Amazing home in a beautiful New England neighborhood. The house was perfect for our family. We had three adults and three children, with plenty of space. The kids LOVED the reading nook/playroom and enjoyed the playful ocean-themed scavenger hunt throughout the house. Great deck and yard. House was immaculate, and had everything you need. Highly recommend!
Our neighborhood is perfect for stargazing (on a clear night you can see the Milky Way!) and enjoying the natural habitat. Depending on the season, you may hear singing frogs, spot fireflies in the back yard, or hear coyotes in the distance howling at the moon.
We live near wilderness, including beaches, quarries, and conservation land. A bug in the house or wildlife in the yard is not unusual and is not indicative of the cleanliness of the house.
We love our quiet little neighborhood and our lovely neighbors. Please respect their privacy and keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
There is free parking for 3 cars at the house. Rockport is easy to get around on foot and by car.
* 7-minute drive/30-minute walk to beaches and shopping in Bearskin Neck, Halibut Point State Park, Folly’s Cove (great sunset views!), and the train that takes you into Boston, Salem, and other towns
* 10-minute walk to the picturesque Pigeon Cove, where lobstermen moor their boats, and Cathedral Rocks, a great spot for snorkeling, scuba diving, or just napping on the rocks
* 5-minute walk to Pine Pit Quarry, the beginning of 2.5-mile walking trail that leads to the Gloucester Quarries
* 15-minute drive to Gloucester
* 35-minute drive or train ride to Salem
* 60-minute drive or train ride to Boston
