We had the most amazing stay and already can’t wait to come back! Beth is one of the most kind, welcoming and generous hosts we’ve ever stayed with. She and her family went out of their way to make sure my sister and I felt celebrated for our birthdays. From the amazingly detailed recommendations and check-in and unbelievably beautiful views to the farm fresh eggs and meet and greet with the sweet farm animals, this was truly an incredible stay. Everything was even better than expected. Thank you so much!

We spent the first few nights of our honeymoon here and it was so peaceful and serene. The view out back was marvelous, the bed was so comfy and the kitchen well stocked! We will be back!

We could not have had a better stay at the Blue Heron. The house was extremely clean and we appreciated all the special touches to make us and our dogs feel at home: fresh eggs and honey from the farm, dog bowls and treats, and some yummy snacks. The porch is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the sounds and sites of the French Broad River. And Beth and the team are very easy to get in touch with and provided lots of great local recommendations. We hope to visit again soon! We already miss the porch in particular!

We cannot be happier with our choice of going to the Blue Heron Hideaway. I selected this place very early and had many options to choose from and so glad I picked the Blue Heron. Here we were tranquilized by the sight and sound of the French Broad River below us. Beth was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay easy and memorable. We felt very much at home with the Farlow family and their barn animals. The cabin was quaint and very well decorated with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I slept very well in the bed ( as a business traveler I do get to try a lot of beds). Waking up to the sound of the river and fog was incredibly relaxing. We can’t wait to go back. Great eats, drinks and outstanding hiking are close as well as incredible drive along the river or. Lue Ridge Hwy. We thought the small river towns close by were wonderful too.
