There were many issues, beginning the moment we checked in, but dealing with rats was the biggest problem. Even worse was how Piedad handled it. No apology, just called it an 'inconvenience' & said that it hadn't happened before. She had someone mop the floor, wipe the counter and put a chunk of wood to block where the rat chewed through. Another was back at the same spot within hours. We love Curacao & don't mind the rustic aspect, but this was too much. The windows have no screens, there are nails sticking up in the floor, cracks & holes in the windows, & some sliding doors barely open. It's hot inside because the breeze doesn't get in. Some photos are out of date, like the big kitchen window. To lock the front door, you put your arm through the gate, attach the padlock on the outside and hope there isn't a fire overnight. Check-in time is posted as 12, but she insisted that I was wrong & it's at 3pm. On the plus side, the view is amazing, the porch is pleasant and it's quiet.

Het bordje ‘simplicity’, voordat je de trap omhoog gaat, verraadt het al. Verwacht geen luxe, geen fancy dingen. Seru Papaja en haar spullen zijn basic, net als heel Westpunt is ook dit huis simpel en puur. Je gaat naar Westpunt en dit fantastische huis voor de rust, het onvergetelijke uitzicht en de natuur waarin het ligt. Iedere dag roepen de vele vogeltjes je. Ze zijn denk ik gewend om kruimels te krijgen en 1 geel geveerde vriend uit zelfs mijn hand. Ik was er een week met mijn vriend, en een week alleen. Ik was bang dat ik dan bang zou zijn. En eerlijk gezegd, ik moest iets overwinnen, want alleen op de heuvel is een confrontatie met jezelf. Maar ik ben nooit bang geweest want het is daar helemaal veilig met de meest lieve mensen/ bewoners die je kan voorstellen. Ik zal de avonden alleen en de ochtenden met de birds nooit, nooit vergeten. Ik heb het huis en haar sfeer in mijn hart gesloten.Wil je een boek schrijven: go! En als je samen bent en van natuur (en duiken) houdt: go!

Très bien situé! On a adoré la vu et la terrasse. Et le BBQ!! Et toutes les commodités pour cuisiner. À 7 minutes de la plage et du superbe restaurant Forti. Genial couchés de soleil :-) Piedad était disponible et repondait rapidement! Nous avons bcp aimé notre séjours. Tranquillité et faune au rdv!! Merci!!

Great place for a calm and relaxing stay. We had a lot of fun with my older mom and dad. ( in their late 60s). There is a beach nearby with turtles and fishermen selling fresh fish. Piedad was very polite and nice. We also rented a car with her and everything worked really well.

We had a nice stay! The location is good and close to some nice Quiet beaches. Please note that restaurants close early on this side of the island! Most Restaurants close the kitchen around 18:30 or 19:00 and for non residents driving at night can be interesting to say the least.
