We had a lovely stay at Villa Katerina. It is a short walk to a good restaurant (Kokopa) and a lovely place for brunch/lunch and coffees (Vitosquared). Melissani Cave is definitely worth a visit and it is just a few minutes walk away. Kefalonia is gorgeous and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. You can walk to the nearby beaches or easily get taxis to the beaches which are further away (we got taxis to antisamos beach and Agia Paraskevi beach). We walked into Sami quite a few times and the walk is very nice. You can easily get a taxi back to the villa if you don’t fancy walking back. Loutro beach in Sami is also worth walking to. Katerina and her dad were very kind and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The villa was a really good base for our stay on the island. It has lots of outdoor space and all the facilities you need. The building also stays pretty cool which is good in the heat. We would love to come back and visit the area again soon! :)

Katerina's place was AMAZING! It was honestly even better than the pictures! The two decks were so nice and the view of the sunrise from the front deck is magical. The apartment had all of the amenities and the location was nice – private and quiet but walking distance to the beach (5 minutes walk) and the town center of Sami (30 minutes walk along the shore). There was a little market and a couple of really good restaurants that were also a 5 minute walk away as well as the famous Melissani Caves. Highly recommend staying here!!!

My friend and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in Karavomylos. Katerina was great communicator and helped us with questions in advance of our arrival. Katerina was not on Kefalonia when we stayed but her father Stelios (who lives downstairs in ground floor apartment) greeted and helped us check in. The apartment is not waterfront but it is very close, very easy walk to beach for swim and comfortable enjoyable longer walk in to Sami along waterfront. I was thrilled/relieved to have multiple coffee making machine options - chose to use the drip filter. The apartment has Air Con but the apartment got very hot during the day that it’s hard work for AC to cool it at end of day. We like to sleep without Air con and fresh air but ending up having to use air con. On second day we shut all the external shutters during the heat of day while we were out which made difference to keeping the apartment cooler. Being walking distance to the very popular cave lake was a massive bonus!

Very clean and good sized 1st floor apartment with great views back and front from lovely terraces. Ace.
