Stunning view from pool deck area. Lots of comfortable sitting all around expansive deck/pool area. Separated bedrooms from main house would work well for groups. Challenging drive to property but that's Tortola! Lynne was fantastic with info and leading up to villa for check in. There are some maintenance issues that have been shared with owner and hopefully these will be addressed. All in all we had a very nice stay. Even tho you cant securely lock home because of deck layout we never felt unsafe, and there is a safe provided for valuables if needed. Internet worked well, Netflix was a nice feature for evenings, and the view never got old!

Turpentine House is a wonder. We met Lynne at Nanny Cay and followed her to the house, expectations rising at every turn. We were not disappointed. From the moment you walk in the front you know you are somewhere special. The view , the deck, the pool , everything is as the photos show. The layout of the property is perfect ,with the sleeping area separate from the main house. The kitchen is well equipped ,the barbecue area a bonus. The living room is comfy and Netflix is provided. Everything was well maintained and spotless.Maid and pool guy once a week. The island of Tortola is beautiful as are the people we met. Eric was prompt and forthright in our discussions. Lynne is great and a good friend to have.Enjoy Turpentine and explore the island. David PS. I rented a jeep from Denzil/ Clyne and they were great

We were a party of 3 couples and really enjoyed our stay at Turpentine House. The house was beautiful and each couple had very private accommodations. Lynn, the property manager was great! Very responsive with any questions we had, which wasn’t many because she prepared us for our arrival/stay by sending lots of information ahead of time. She’s very knowledgeable of the area since she has lived nearby for 25 years. As far as getting to the property, you definitely need 4WD. We were guided up the first time thankfully. Tortola had everything we needed for a great BVI experience and we would highly recommend this property.

A truly unique home! Walking through the front door we were greeted by the infinity pool and sweeping views of St. John, Peter Island and Norman Island. The main house has a well-appointed kitchen, large living and dining areas (although we ate all meals in the outdoor dining space). Across the pool area were the 3 large bedrooms (2 on the main level and the master bedroom upstairs) with ensuite bathrooms and cafe tables/chairs on the deck outside each room. There were so many indoor and outdoor areas to choose from and the beautiful Caribbean was always within view. Each day offered a chance to see a beautiful sunrise over the BVIs and sunset over the USVIs right from Turpentine house. Spectacular! Erik was very responsive and gave us great recommendations for activities and shopping. Lynn, the property manager, was also very proactive in communicating, met and escorted us up to the house, provided helpful tips, and checked in to ensure everything met our high expectations.

We spent 3 weeks here and when we arrived the pool was green and dirty and didn't work we ran out of water and had no hot water for over 2 weeks. Patio was extreamly unsafe and we not able to hang out there due to the poor condition. Every second day we had a plumber or someone working on this poorly maintained home This place has so much potential but the owner refuses to play for a to maintain. Anything and. Ow he owes the locals and they don't want to fix or do anything for him as he has not paid his bills. Pool company stated they advised the owner several times the system was broken. Plumbers said he was only will to bandaid issues if it was a must. We never received on response e from Erick the owner. That being said Lynn the property manage was excellent and did what ever she could for us but her hands were tied due to the owner as well Or paying her as well Absolute nightmare to deal with all this when trying to vacation Not happy Air bnb suport was good
