Had a lovely, albeit cold and rainy, stay at the cabin. Prior to our arrival, Marguerite was proactive to let us know that the forecast for our stay was looking cold and rainy and that the cabin was not well insulated and only had space heaters to take off the chill. She was very kind to make us aware of that ahead of time, and we agreed to take our chances and stay anyway. Glad we did! Beautiful spot, regardless of the weather. Space heaters and many blankets kept us and our little one warm enough through the night. We awoke to clearer weather and were treated with views of a lingering loon and multiple otters swimming not far off the dock! A short paddle out to the island warmed us up as well. Do note the listing though, as linens and many normal "luxuries" of a more traditional AirBnB are not provided. Only complaint was the mattresses (tried both of them), which were extremely soft and saggy, making for a less than optimal or comfortable sleep. Other than that, a great stay!

The rustic camp was just as described and served as a great base camp as we toured around the Adirondacks. The lake and campfire area looked wonderful, we would have taken advantage of both had the weather been a bit more cooperative. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee as the rain came down.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful, and the fire pit was nicely stocked with wood. I am very grateful to have found this hidden gem and will definitely return again.

Marguerite was an amazing host who gets back to you quickly. The cabin is easy to get to and feels secluded even with neighbors. It has been a very wet summer and it did rain a bit, but there are games in the cabin that we were able to play. Beautiful location, can’t wait to go back!
