This was a great place to stay in Current. The location on the water is wonderful! The road in front of the house is a bit rough (very common off the main roads of Eleuthera), so you definitely want a small SUV. We cooked at the home quite a bit as there aren’t many restaurants very close, and the kitchen was well stocked. One thing to note, there is no dishwasher, so be prepared to do the dishes by hand. We didn’t find that to be too much of a hassle though. Sleeping with the AC off and the windows open at night was wonderful. There is another beach very close by that was great on days that the wind was making the water rough on our beach at the house. We do wish there were some beach chairs at the house, but there were plenty of towels. Pedro was amazing and came to our rescue one night when our rental car had a flat tire and we discovered that there was no spare. So grateful for that! All in all it was a wonderful stay and we would happily return.

Eleuthera is off the beaten patch, and Bertram’s Cove is off that path even further. But once you arrive you’ll be in paradise, from the private beach just 10 steps from the door, to the crystal clear water and pure sand, to the comfortable beds, furnished home, and equipped kitchen. You could easily fit up to 7 vacationers. Karen and Pedro are amazing; very responsive online and when we used up all the propane cooking our meals, arrived in 3 minutes to swap tanks. We cannot recommend Bertram’s Cove enough!

Host responses are immediate! The Bertram's Cove house is amazing. We have two preteen girls and it was the perfect space. The private beach is out of this world. Couldn't even believe how beautiful it was - especially the night storms or stars. While we saw some sights locally, we were just happy to spend time at the house relaxing and swimming in the beautiful clear water. Karen facilitated a car rental for us which was super helpful. Eleuthera is a remote island so food from the grocery (N. Eleuthera Shopping Center) was expensive and the produce was not great. We didn't mind at all and ate lots of pasta, ramen, baked potatoes and mangos. We went out to eat a few times and the experience was always wonderful. FYI, the power grid is not 100% reliable so we spent a few hours without electricity. Made a point of conserving water and then enjoy the private paradise that is Bertram's Cove. We are very lucky that Karen and Pedro have chosen to share this beautiful property with the world!
