Excellent place to use as a base while exploring Nome and its surroundings. We felt right at home. Michael was extremely helpful and kind to us.

Mike and Shoni were excellent hosts. They had great communication, were very knowledgeable about Nome and they are just very caring and open hearted people in general. They offered to pick up and drop off my wife and I at the airport upon arrival and departure, but instead we decided to rent one of their vehicles from them for the entirety of our stay at a great price. Vehicle rentals are really difficult to find in Nome, especially at an affordable price. We rented the vehicle from them through Turo. The Airbnb sits on a beautiful property nestled next to a river and surrounded by open countryside on the tundra, just a short drive out of town. The cabin was very clean, well stocked with cooking essentials, warm, cozy, and full of interesting things to look at, read and play. My wife and I appreciated being able to spend time walking around the beautiful small town of Nome while also being able to explore the vast countryside around it. We had an amazing time and hope to return.

Enjoyed my stay here in Nome. Shoni and Mike go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Lots of thoughtful extras, from snacks in the cabin to loaner bear spray I could take with me on my hikes.
