Nestled on 9 wooded acres at 7200 ft of elevation, our spacious and charming cabin is the ideal retreat for families and groups of friends seeking a relaxing and comfortable stay in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. As you step inside our home, you'll be greeted by a cozy living area featuring comfortable seating, a large flat-screen TV, and plenty of natural light streaming in through the windows. The open-concept layout leads to a fully equipped kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances, slate countertops, and all the utensils and cookware you need to whip up a delicious meal- including a Lodge Cast Iron Skillet, Ninja Blender, and Madein cookware. On the main floor, you'll find a dining area with seating for 12, perfect for sharing meals and creating memories with your loved ones. The main level also features 4 bedrooms, starting with the first of two spacious primary suites. This bedroom boasts a beautiful view of the La Plata mountain range, a flat screen television, king bed, and full en suite bathroom including a bathtub with excellent views of the surrounding wilderness. This room also offers a dedicated desk and chair to be used as an office space for any remote work needs. As you pass through the kitchen, you'll find a recently renovated guest bathroom directly adjacent to the second bedroom. This bedroom features a full over queen bunk bed set up with plenty of room for a pack and play, ideal for accommodating little mountain enthusiasts joining your trip. Proceeding towards the second Primary Suite, you'll pass through a bedroom with a twin size bunk bed and an amazing view. As you enter the primary suite, you'll be greeted by vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and a stunning view of the La Plata mountain range. The king sized bed is situated so you can see the stars at night through the huge picture windows. Enjoy the cozy sitting area as you sip your coffee in the morning and stare out at the mountains. The upstairs loft area is the perfect family hang spot. With a big comfy rug anchoring the space, you can post up in one of the swivel chairs or huge ottoman. There’s a toy shelf with toys for children of all ages or you can grab a game from the hall closet and have endless fun. This space also features two twin sized beds for any extra visitors. However, the real highlight of our home is the stunning outdoor space. Step outside onto the expansive front and back decks to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The deck features plenty of seating, a large dining table, a Traeger pellet grill, and a hot tub, perfect for soaking under the stars after a long day of exploring. Make sure to bring your binoculars to observe the wide variety of wildlife that shares our 9-acre slice of heaven! Wildcat Cabin is conveniently located just a short drive from all the best attractions in Durango, including the historic downtown area, the Animas River, and the world-renowned Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Our cabin is also situated 5 minutes from Lake Nighthorse, 15 minutes from Hesperus Ski Area, and 40 minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort. With hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and more just a stone's throw away, you'll have no shortage of activities to enjoy during your stay. Tub and shower. 2nd Bedroom -Full over Queen Bunk Bed (Main Floor) 3rd Bedroom - (Main Floor) Twin bunk beds 4th Bedroom - King (Main floor) with ensuite bathroom. Tub and shower. Loft - Two twin beds and a queen air mattress (2nd Floor) ATVs cannot be ridden on the property or in the neighborhood. Depending on specific conditions, 4WD may be required between December and March. This home is pet friendly! 2 pet maximum at $150 per pet.
