The fully restored Sunday School was once an original Methodist Chapel, built in 1828. (no graveyard) It is now a comfortable, tranquil, fully-equipped home right in the centre of town, and just 100 yards from the Harbour and Lymington ferry.
A fantastic place to stay - some great thought has gone into this place - loads of little ‘touches’ too many to mention - everything was catered for making it a home-from-home for anyone visiting. A Great location for local amenities, local store, pubs and great restaurants. We took my Dad with us (89) and it was easy for him to get around with his (reducing) mobility - it exceeded our expectations - we loved everything about the Sunday School.
Susie went over and above to make us feel welcome, and put Christmas decorations up for our stay during the festive season. We really appreciated this thoughtful touch. Although the Sunday School is a stroll away from some great restaurants, the kitchen is particularly well equiped if guests prefer to self-cater. Bathrooms were immaculate. We highly recommend the Sunday School as the place to stay in Yarmouth.
A lovely stay — thoroughly enjoyed staying at the beautifully dressed and well-appointed Sunday School. Exceeded all our expectations. Everything you could possibly need was catered for - a real home from home. Very much appreciated were the generous welcome goodies - something for everyone to enjoy. It was a perfect location for exploring the island. Quiet, recessed, private and spacious close to the long stay car park: fortunately we had disabled blue badge and always had a space. We would highly recommend the Sunday School and would love to return.
It looked good on the website and was even better in reality. Lovely place, great communication from the owner, and the location right in Yarmouth within a 1 min walk of everything makes it perfectly placed. Thoroughly recommend.
Yarmouth is a friendly and compact town, easy to walk around and packed full of facilities. Should you wish to, you need never cook here at all! There are numerous pubs, restaurants, fine dining hotels, fish and chips, and no visit is complete without going to "off the rails" Yarmouth. This is a fully restored Railway Station about 500 yards south of here (on Station Road) which offers an exciting and imaginative menu as well as coffee and cake. You can also rent a bicycle there, and ride down the track to Freshwater (2 miles) because the trains stopped running here in 1953!
The bus station is 50 yards away and l would highly recommend the Island Breezer to the Needles, it’s a memorable experience! Wightlink ferry terminal is also a stone's throw away and offers a regular service to the mainland. The Coral Star is an independent service for passengers wishing to pop over to Lymington so you may like to experience the extensive market on a Saturday. Booking is essential. There is a large (pay and display) Council car park 100yds away.
