Awaken to the sweet sound of kiskadees and the soothing cross- breezes filling the Villa as the new day greets you. You may choose to sip your morning cuppa in your tranquil porch setting just off the bedroom, on the lower level, as the sun rises over Southdown Farm, or on the southern patio which points to the ocean. After a day of exploration and adventure you may welcome a pre or post-dinner cocktail on the balcony, under the brilliance of a starlit night and the circling beams of Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. And those moonlit nights are spectacular!
Villa Lisa is conveniently located in a charming, picturesque neighbourhood, near the popular South Shore beaches and along the public bus route. Within walking distance are tennis courts, a cycle shop with car rental, pub, a convenience store and even a church! Quaint Church Bay, known for its fascinating boiler reefs and excellent snorkeling, is a slow ten-minute stroll west along the South Shore. Within a mile of Villa Lisa are dining options galore – from easy take-out, to diner-cafe style and pub style at the famous Henry VIII Pub and Restaurant, to exquisite fine dining with ocean views. The Reefs Hotel is directly across the street offering various options in fine dining, a sumptuous, daily breakfast and a Sunday Brunch!
Perhaps the signature statement of the neighbourhood is the stately, statuesque Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, one of the oldest, cast iron lighthouses in the world, built in 1844, boasting commanding, panoramic views of the island. For those who wish to tackle the 185 steps to the top, the rewarding views are breathtaking! Then again, the reward might be found at the base of the lighthouse where the views are just as spectacular! There is also an Indian restaurant called, Tamarind, serving delicious Indian fare right on the lighthouse premises.
The sprawling, glorious Horseshoe Bay beach, one of Bermuda’s gems, is a 5 minute drive, 20 minute walk away. The natural, jaw-dropping beauty of Horseshoe Bay, as well as the long chain of quaint coves and inlets along the South Shore speak for themselves. We say no more, but encourage you to behold this beauty with your own eyes.

We are on the public bus route. The South Shore road is also very scenic and beautiful for walking. Oleander Cycles is right on our road, renting mopeds, bicycles and electric rental cars. The scenic Railway Trail is perfect for walking or jogging and is just up the hill from our villa. It spans the length of Bermuda. Arrangements can also be made for electric bicycles.
