Paddock View at Connetts Farm is situated in a rural, coastal position with views over farmland and the sea, one mile from the village of Eastchurch.
In the village of Eastchurch there are mini-supermarkets open very long hours every day and two pubs.
Locally, the farm shop at Brambledown has a wonderful selection of fruit & vegetables, a bakery and butcher’s shop
For eating out, the area known as 'Halfway' Minster, around 3 miles from here, has some excellent restaurants and takeaways.
The KOH-I-NOOR restaurant and takeaway provides the finest Indian & Bangladeshi cuisine and we highly recommend them. They will also deliver to your cottage if required.
Mem’s Mezze is another excellent restaurant where they serve many gorgeous Turkish dishes in their stylish restaurant.
'The Dragon' restaurant and take away provides an excellent venue for Chinese dishes.
In Sheerness there is a Greek restaurant, 'The Rose Cafe', that has been recommended to us.
There are also other various takeaways in Minster village.
For Fish & Chips, 'The Golden fish bar' in Queenborough and 'Fisherman's Catch' on the Broadway, Sheerness are our preferences.
For 'fine dining' there is 'The Ferry House Inn' at Harty and 'Banks Restaurant' in nearby Minster village
All of these and many more are to be found within 5 miles of Connetts.
For larger supermarkets, other eateries and a fuel filling station, Neats Court retail park is also conveniently situated just 5 miles away.
The main town of Sheerness is where you will find all types of retailers, cafes and businesses with a railway station, a traditional amusement park, garden centre, fishing lakes, golf course, Whelans Concrete Garden Ornament Factory Outlet and a Coastal Park at Barton’s Point.
Round the island boat cruises, run by Jetsteam Cruises from Queenborough, can be booked online. They run various cruises with one allowing views of the local seal population and also day trips to Southend in Essex just across the Thames estuary.
