Modern and cozy apartment with courtyard and swimming pool, in Aci Sant'Antonio. Minicucco Apartments is a complex of two apartments within a beautiful house with garden and shared pool. Apartment Onice spreads on one floor. The entrance opens onto the living area of the house: a large and bright open space with French windows overlooking the courtyard and equipped with sofas, television, dining table and a fully-equipped open kitchen with oven and microwave. The sleeping area features two bedrooms: one with a queen-size bed and a television and one with two single beds that can also be joined when necessary. A bathroom with shower completes the layout. The highlight of the house are the outdoor spaces, in addition to the pool and the shared garden, guests can relax in the courtyard in front of the apartment, for private use, furnished with dining table and sofas. Free wi-fi, washing machine, iron, air conditioning and heating will be available to guests in the accommodation. We also offer to our guests truly authentic experiences to live like a local. On the surface this is a nice apartment. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. It’s clean. And looks well done. Sadly, there were issues. Which led us to check out early. The bed was very very firm. We both woke up with bad backs. And there is no headboard. It’s quite odd. We were downstairs. There was a small group of mostly quiet girls upstairs. But we could hear everything. Even them walking and talking. Just a bad design I believe. The shower didn’t get hot. Was just quite warm. The kitchen lacked utensils. Why Airbnb’s don’t put sharp knives in, I’ll never know. They were very courteous during check in. And check out. Very friendly. And had a good guide system in place. Plus, fast WiFi. The courtyard is a nice space too. And heating is effective.

We are travelling with a baby (5 months) and an infant (2y). Checking in we saw that half the pictures don’t apply to our basement apartment. You can only see walls, only the main room has windows. Upon arrival we were asked if we are ok with dogs. Generally speaking, yes, but it turned out that we were talking about a huge white husky that is actually claiming the terrace and the apartment to himself. He kept opening our door by going up on his back feet, inside there was hair everywhere and scratchmarks on the door. The owner lives next door, but there is no fence and he even told us to be extra careful when leaving so the dog doesn’t escape, otherwise it would be a huge problem for us. The kids were pretty scared. Calling the agency that rents this place they told us that he „only wants to play“ and that we should try. Well, we didn‘t and checked out because it was definitely not suitable for a family and the place is not like its presented on the pictures.

Aci Castello and its neighbor Aci Trezza, are two gems of the eastern coast of Sicily. The volcanic activity of the area and specifically of the Etna, have defined the conformation of the territory making it rich in naturalistic beauties, including the marine protected area of the Cyclops Islands, where it is possible to go diving and admire the wonderful marine flora and fauna which live in this area. Not to be missed is a visit to the Norman Castle of Aci Castello, which stands on a basalt cliff, with an extremely rare rocky composition, formed after a marine eruption over 500,000 years ago.
The town is located a few kilometers from Catania, famous for its historic center recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Its architectural wonders, but also the liveliness of the popular markets, the wild beauty of Etna and the crystal-clear water of the coast will seduce even the most demanding guests.
Catania Fontanarossa airport is around 50 minutes-drive away from the accommodation.
