Escape to the mountains and indulge in the perfect blend of comfort and outdoor adventure at Sanctuary 33! Sanctuary 33 was built with both adults and kids in mind to enjoy year-round! You’ll find modern rustic furnishings and amenities in a serene setting adults will appreciate for their much-needed getaway with plenty of room outside to run around for the kiddos and maybe even the fur babies. The cabin is set on an acre of wooded land with plenty of cleared, flat ground perfect for playing corn hole or a good old-fashioned game of tag. For entertainment we supply board games, playing cards and a corn hole set. There is a gorgeous fire pit area lit at night with twinkle lights and we have s'mores roasting sticks on-hand for that perfect treat while you relax by the fire. Or perhaps you'd like to relax in the 6 person hot tub which is situated near the fire pit but fully covered so you can be out there rain or shine. The cabin sleeps 6 people with two bedrooms (each bedroom comes with a full en suite bathroom) and a loft area. You’ll find a queen bed downstairs, a king bed upstairs and a full bed in the upstairs loft. Each of the 2 bathrooms has a tub/shower combo. The towels are soft and the beds comfy with brand new mattresses, soft cotton sheets on each bed and fluffy pillows. We feature a kitchen stocked with all the cooking essentials (see full list of items included below), a propane BBQ grill, Smart TV with standard cable plus you can log in to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and YouTube right from the TV. The internet is fast and reliable and there is a desk in the loft to work remotely in comfort. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and seating to fit up to 6 comfortably. We have smart locks with codes that are changed each time between guests for your security and a camera that faces the driveway. Rainy day? No problem! You can still be outside in the fresh air in either of our 2 large covered porches. The back porch is fully screened-in with cozy lights and a large comfy seating area to curl up with a book or play games while you listen to the rain cascade off the roof. But you don’t want to spend ALL your time at the cabin, right? We are conveniently located near many of the best attractions in Blue Ridge, McCaysville and Copperhill. The road is paved all the way to the short private drive that is gravel suitable for any standard car and there are no steep hills to contend with. We allow dogs up to 25 lbs as we know they are important members of the family, but we ask that you consider your dog’s behavior and whether this cabin is right for them. We promote a relaxed environment that is meant to be fun and laid back, but we do have nice furnishings for people to enjoy so we have rules for the pups that we detail below. Some things to keep in mind: The only pets allowed are dogs up to 25 lbs. Maximum of two dogs are allowed per stay. We require upfront notice and a $100 additional fee. We require dogs to be at least 6 months old. Rules for dogs: Dogs must have crates and be crated if you are not there to supervise, they must be housebroken and are not allowed on the furniture so please bring comfy beds or blankets for them. If there are more excessive cleaning needs due to their presence, you will be charged an extra fee after check-out to cover the additional cleaning needs. If they cause damage to furnishings or decor, you will be charged after check-out to replace the damaged items. Please note there is not a fence on the property and you are responsible for keeping your dog on a leash if you are off the property. We ask that you do not bring dogs that are aggressive towards other dogs or humans. While you have an acre of property to enjoy and you will feel secluded, there are other cabins in the vicinity. From time to time the dogs from the cabin down the road roam, so we just want to share that it's possible they may visit the property. The owners of that cabin are very nice and friendly. One of the bathrooms and two of the three beds are upstairs. The stairs are just slightly steeper than average in case you have mobility issues to consider. One bedroom and one bathroom are on ground level. The basement is not finished, but it is clean and well-it. There is a washer/dryer and access door to the hot tub area you may choose to use rather than walking outside. The hot tub is for our guests to enjoy but children under the age of 5 years old should never use the hot tub, and children under 16 years old must be supervised at all times. Never use electrical devices in or near the hot tub. Guests who enter the hot tub take full responsibility for their actions and use at their own risk. The hot tub must be covered when not in use. Maximum capacity for the hot tub is 6 people. Any damages to the hot tub will be paid in full by the responsible party. We supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, dish soap, sponge, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 laundry detergent pods, trash bags, olive oil, salt/pepper, basic spices, a roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom to get you started so you don’t need to go to the grocery store right away. We also supply full sets of bath towels for each bed and hot tub towels. We don’t supply firewood, but you can pick it up at many of the gas stations in town on your way or we recommend local delivery services in our guestbook after booking. We allow up to a maximum of 6 guests per stay in the house. The house is non-smoking inside and on the screened-in porch. The cabin is situated near creeks however the creeks are on strict private property not deeded to this cabin and are not available to guests for recreation.
