The guesthouse is less than 1 mile to Scituate Harbor, with sidewalks the whole way. It's also within walking distance to a local beach, which also has non-permit parking spots (ask us about this).
Scituate Harbor is home to many restaurants, a grocery store, boutique shops, art galleries, a movie theater, and more. The Harbor also hosts events all summer. A working harbor, you'll see people unloading lobster and fishing boats as well as people going to and from work. It's a vibrant coastal community with a lot to see!
We share some of our favorite spots upon arrival and we are always happy to share recommendations for places to a visit on the rest of the South Shore.

Driving is the best ways to get to and from and get around the South Shore and Scituate.
Once in Scituate at the guesthouse, you can also walk to the Harbor and the beach.
If you need to use public transport, there are two Commuter Rail stations in town that go to nearby towns and into Boston. One of them is only 2 miles away from us. There is also a public bus, the Scituate Sloop, that picks up from these stations and drops off at various places around town.
Coming from the airport without a car? The Commuter Rail from South Station on the Greenbush line is one option. You can also catch the Ferry to Hingham Shipyard directly from the airport and get a ride from there.
