the place was spacious and clean. lots of closet space. lovely pool and beach with comfortable loungers. but the best part may have been the amenities in the neighboring properties that were available to those staying at los porticos. we enjoyed happy hour at turtle inn (half price drinks made by top notch bartenders, overlooking the water). we also got some early morning pastries at the window at turtle inn. then we ate a lovely meal at mariposa's breezeway restaurant and borrowed bikes from the hotel the next day. we had a terrific stay all around!

We stayed in 7C. it's a spacious beautiful 2nd story villa with fantastic view of sea. Large balcony. Fully-equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds and furniture. The pool is really nice and the grounds beautiful. It's a complex of about 30 units - mostly retired ex-pats. we really enjoyed the pleasant friendliness and community feel. There are 2 very nice restaurants next door. We tried walking to Placencia Village which is about 2 miles but the road to town is narrow with lots of traffic so we took taxis in - $10 USD each way. Golf cart rentals are $50/day. I would definitely stay here again.

The condo was beautiful. The place was very clean. Additional linens was available upon request. The kids had a good time in the pool and at the beach. Peaceful surroundings and accessible to the small villages in the community. The only issue we had was with the internet. The internet was unstable and even though we were on vacation, me and my wife needed to work and we were not able to connect. So we didn’t get any work done for the couple days we were out there. In retrospect, I guess we were able to spend more time with the family. However, now since our departure we are backed up a couple days worth of work. The kids couldn’t connect there IPads either and the tv kept rebooting causing us to lose interest in watching movies. Other than that, we found the family games entertaining. We would stay there again but need to ensure we have adequate internet access. Thank you
