We stayed at Marco's place for the first half of our Sicily trip. Marco was very flexible (he managed to check us in earlier than planned) and he was quick in his responses. The place itself was as pictured, but also provided a true and authentic Airbnb experience where you stay in a place that isn't solely designed for renting out, but is someone's actual property. It had a wonderful local vibe with vintage accessories and even a jacuzzi on the top floor. Additionally, the pool was a fantastic addition to the property, complete with many accessories for having fun in it. Local fruits and the presence of cats were perfect additions to our stay.
We had a fantastic stay in Castedaccia. Marco was a great host - we arrived very late and he kindly waited for us, providing us helpful instructions on finding the place, as it is not that easy to find, and stayed to show us around the house & facilities. He was so helpful, always on hand to quickly give us assistance - very speedy & helpful response at all times, with good recommendations and care for our well-being. The pool and jacuzzi were fantastic, as is the outside dining area, where we had all our meals. Even though it was so hot, the pool enabled us to be comfortable -the pool & jacuzzi were nice and clean. The location of the villa is about 10 minutes drive from the village, so you definitely need a car. The place is a good starting point to visit Cefalu and Palermo (recommend train for Palermo) Three bedrooms and three bathrooms, but the third bedroom does not have aircon. There are great views from the living room and roof, so you can enjoy the jacuzzi with views.
Marco was an extremely responsive host and gave great recommendations for the surrounding area. The house was a little hard to find as it is quite secluded, but Marco provided additional help to find it. My kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and stunning views. We were very comfortable as a family of 5 with the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house could use a bit of decluttering and some newer dishes in the kitchen, but other than that it was great and we had a really nice time there.
