Lyons Creek Hideaway is located on Lake Gaston in a quiet, relaxing, beautiful & safe neighborhood called River Bend. Our waterfront home sits on a large open cove just around the bend with direct main lake access (about 1 minute by boat) where it is safe for you and/or your family to fish, swim, kayak, paddle board and play in the water without having to concern yourself with the large waves and boat traffic on main lake.
Other things to do for kids.
Bring your fishing rod and reel. Go swimming off the end of the dock. Rent a boat to tie off on our dock, and take the kids tubing. Take rides along the lake. Look at the stars at night while roasting marshmallows in the giant firepit, or play ping pong and corn hole.
Shopping for this vacation consist of Food Lion for groceries, ace hardware for fishing supplies, wake board willies for Ice cream, lake gaston pizza for pizza. The Pointe restaurant is a lakeside restaurant which can be accessed via car or boat.
The home offers a gorgeous view of Lyons Creek from almost every room in the house, has a flat yard, and a lg fire pit facing the lake with seating for 6. The outside features a large porch with an outdoor ping pong table, a Weber Grill, an outdoor dining area, and ample space to set up and play.
Inside on the main floor, the den features a vaulted ceiling, a 55" flat screen smart TV for streaming, a bose sound system, lots of board games to choose from, reclining seats, a double sided gas fireplace, and sliding glass doors with a beautiful view of the lake.
The open kitchen is the perfect place for cooking & has a split oven (like having 2 ovens; one up, one down), a microwave, fridge and freezer with filtered water & ice maker, both drip coffee pot and Keurig single serve, an Instapot (which also functions as a slow cooker), a Margaritaville Blender, baking sheets, pots and pans, utensils, food storage, service for 10 (cups, plates, utensils, etc), and a pantry for your use. For meals, you can dine at the 6-person inside dining table or hang out on the large porch where another 6 people can dine outside, or the 2 chairs outside the den, or the large firepit all overlooking the lake. From the kitchen is a short walk to the laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer and laundry detergent for your use, and a half bath.
The main floor also includes a cozy living room area with a 43" flat screen smart TV for streaming, a Samsung sound bar, a blueray player, a double fireplace, comfortable seating for an additional 6 people and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors displaying a beautiful view of the Lake.
The primary bedroom on the main floor can accommodate 2 adults and features a Queen bed, a 32" flat screen TV for streaming, Lg sliding glass doors, a desk for working, roller blinds for privacy, a ceiling fan, and an ensuite bathroom with a dual vanity, soaking tub and walk-in shower.
On the second floor are 3 additional bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, and a full bathroom with a double vanity, bathtub and shower. The first bedroom on the main floor can accommodate 3 adults or 4 children and features a nautical themed twin bed, and twin over full bunk bed, a large window, a closet, a dresser, roller blinds, and a ceiling fan.
The second bedroom can accommodate 3 people and includes a Queen bed and a separate twin bed, a closet, a window with roller blinds, and a ceiling fan.
The third bedroom, a surfing themed room, can accommodate 2 more guests. It includes a Queen bed, a ceiling fan, a dresser, shelving for your use, and large, sliding glass doors which lead to a private balcony facing the lake with 2 comfortable adirondack chairs and a surfing themed table.
