Amazing, peaceful location right on the lake with the most beautiful views of both the lake and the huge private grounds. The local area of San Giovanni is a good choice if you don’t want to be in the busy and tourist-filled centre of Bellagio, and has a ferry terminal allowing access to other lake towns. Just near the apartment is Nene, a fantastic bar/cafe with good food and drinks (at reasonable prices), some gourmet provisions and great service. Walking to Bellagio is a bit tricky, particularly with kids, as you need to walk along quite busy and narrow roads before eventually getting to the lakeside pedestrian path. The apartment itself is quite old fashioned and could benefit from a refresh (particularly the furniture) but the building itself is a lovely grand estate and the views more than make up for the furnishings. Overall we would highly recommend this for all, including families.

The view was amazing and the gardens are spectacular. These beds were also very comfortable which is hard to find sometimes on our European travels. I would recommend a car to get into town. We always found parking and it was fun to drive around the lake. There is a fairly that comes right outside the villa that can also take you from place to place. Overall it was our favorite air bnb experience of our trip.

An absolutely gorgeous setting. So serene and peaceful and loved taking a dip in the lake as well as a swim in the pool. The views were spectacular from every window. The lack of transportation from the ferry to the property was a bit challenging but our host was very gracious to help us put our luggage in her car. The walk from the home to Bellagio is beautiful through the park and well worth the 8E for the day.

You can’t beat the views and location! It’s about a 20 minute walk to the town center, or you have the option for a trolley that stops right in the parking lot and takes you to town in just a few minutes. There’s also the San Giovanni ferry stop on the other side of the building for a quick trip across the lake to check out other towns. Cute little beach right outside the property with a snack shack or you have access right to the lake from the front stairs. 10/10 would recommend to anyone considering a memorable experience on Lake Como.

Very rocky beach, did not have a location to sit, would be nice to have had beach chairs provided. Kitchen would use more pots/pans, was difficult to make dinner (one frying pan and two very large pots, nothing else).. Very nice, secure location on the lake, only a 10 min walk to town, unit was a bit dated but spacious.
