Cosy cottage-style property in the garden of our family home. Perfect for single or couple retreats or for small families (double sofabed in living area). Pet friendly. Hot Tub (in shared garden) with exclusive use. Moments from local amenities (village shop, Chinese, pub, bakery, fish & chips). The area boasts many places to visit - beautiful beaches, countryside walks and numerous pubs. Short distance from historic towns of Sandwich, Deal and Canterbury. LBTQIA+ and ENM welcoming The space comprises private entrance, bedroom with king bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and luxury products, spacious living area with wood burning stove, two sofas (including one double sofa bed), kitchenette and small (two-person) dining area. TV and Apple TV Box. High speed wifi. Fully equipped kitchenette, with hob, fridge, microwave/grill, cooking utensils and tableware. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Use of patio outside the cottage with table and chairs, as well as access to a gas BBQ. Exclusive use of hot tub (in shared garden, overlooked by family home - see photos). Free on site parking on the drive for 1 car. We take great care in maintaining a clean and inviting space for our guests, including conducting thorough checks before your arrival. However, due to the building's age, it's possible to encounter the occasional spider during your stay. We have a regular cleaning and refreshing routine to ensure a welcoming and hygienic hot tub. However, please note that certain circumstances, such as hosepipe bans or unforeseen restrictions, may temporarily limit our ability to maintain the hot tub to the exacting standards we strive for.

My little magical vacation ... Everything is beautiful: the house, the interior, candles, the fireplace ... The goodies that the owners left))) Everything is done with love. I would also like to mention a good bedding set and a comfortable bed.

The Forge is located in the peaceful, historic village of Eastry, Kent. Several local amenities are available within very short walking distance (village shop, post office, bakery, Chinese takeaway, fish & chips, village pub).
Many beautiful beaches are a short drive away (Sandwich Bay, Deal, St. Margarets, plus all of the stunning sandy beaches of Thanet - Broadstairs, Margate, Ramsgate).
Eastry is a great place for walking, with several footpaths directly into the stunning Kent countryside. Short drive to the famous White Cliffs of Dover and several country and coastal parks/paths.
Mountain biking (including bike hire) is available nearby at Betteshanger Country Park (10 mins drive), wakeboarding and Aqua park in Sandwich (5 mins drive), boat trips to see the seals (10 mins drive).
Historic towns of Sandwich (5 mins drive), Deal (10 mins drive) and Canterbury (25 min drive) are all nearby, with vibrant high streets and many restaurants. Several historical sites are also in the area, including the stunning Dover Castle, Walter Castle and Deal Castle.
Margate hosts the Turner Contemporary Gallery, as well as the stunning old town with its galleries, quaint shops and cafes/restaurants.
Several animal parks are located in the area, including Wingham Wildlife Park, Wildwoods, Howlets Wild Animal Park, and Port Lymph.
Sandwich is known for its great golf clubs (the British Open was hosted by Royal St Georges Golf Club in 2021), which are within a short drive from the cottage.
Whilst buses and taxis are available in the village, we would recommend having access to a car during your stay.
Parking is available for 1 car on the property drive. Local on-street parking also available
