We had such a lovely stay. The house was very spacious and was beautifully appointed. We had absolutely everything we needed, and especially loved the kitchen, which had everything from a coffee machine to a blender and a great oven, so cooking was a pleasure. We loved the pool and the view onto trees was so lovely to wake up to. Brunswick heads is such a vibey little town, with great restaurants and a pub, heaps of cafes. I loved walking along the beach in the mornings, and we went paddle boarding down the river. A perfect spot for a relaxing holiday, thank you so much.
Good location close to Brunswick town - well stocked kitchen and good sized tv and comfortable lounges.
What a hidden Gem! My family had a great stay here and it suited our needs perfectly. It's very private with a great bushy outlook perfect to relax and animal watch (many wallabies, bird life etc) and that fantastic pool! The house itself very comfortable with everything you need, and super close to the town centre. Jenny is a great host and we thank you for our time spent at your home!
We had a wonderful stay, the house is very hidden up a long driveway, which welcomes you to beautiful surrounds. The pool area is just magic, large deck, stunning pool and amazing views abound. The house is lovely. Great entertaining kitchen, nice lounge room. The second shower room out the back was fun. More modern than the inside bathroom. Just do remember there is only one toilet as mentioned in the description. Perfect location, 20 minute walk into town. Would definitely book again.
Brunswick Heads. Simple Pleasures.
About Brunswick Heads
Brunswick Heads is a small, unspoilt coastal village on the NSW north coast, situated at the mouth of the Brunswick River. Located 15 minutes north of Byron Bay, it's only 30 minutes by car from both Ballina Byron Airport and Gold Coast Airport.
Brunswick Heads is all about life's simple pleasures. Despite the surrounding coastal development, Brunswick Heads has retained its traditional seaside village atmosphere. Timber bridges link the riverside Torakina, a safe, quiet beach at the mouth of the Brunswick River and to the surf beach that spans the coastline all the way to Byron Bay.
The north bank of the river hosts a protected rainforest and the southern bank provides a harbour and small marina for fishing boats and small craft. Mt Chincogan and Mt Warning provide a spectacular hinterland backdrop to the river that meanders up to the small town of Mullumbimby.
Days here revolve around the water, whether you’re jumping into the Brunswick River that cuts through town, or tackling the legendary waves that crash to shore along this part of the coast. If you’re an avid angler, you’ll fit right in, with beach and river fishing not just a pastime, but a passion among generations of locals and visitors. And where the sea ends, the rainforest begins, with nature reserves to the north and south, and immense World Heritage-listed rainforest to the west in Nightcap National Park.
Surfers come to this stretch of shore year-round for the lovely, long and consistent breaks along open beaches, with the waves at the entrance to the Brunswick River the stuff of legend. If you prefer to sightsee while seated, jump aboard a boat or go for a paddle with Byron Bay Eco Cruises and Kayaks or Go Sea Kayak Byron Bay, both accredited ecotourism operators. Blue Bay Divers will take you below the waves for diving and snorkelling expeditions around Cape Byron Marine Park.
Between May and November, thousands of humpback whales migrate through the waters off Brunswick Heads. Paddle out to see them on a kayak or join a tour with Blue Bay Whale Watching for an up-close glimpse of humpbacks in the wild. You don’t have to be on the water to see these gentle giants breaching and blowing, with lookouts offering unbroken views of pods as they charge up and down the coast. Dolphins are spotted year round and, if you’re lucky, you’ll see one swim up the river right through town.
The Brunswick Hotel delivers everything you could want in a beachside bar: live music, a leafy beer garden, local brews and a menu packed with pub essentials like fish and chips, chicken parmigiana and burgers with every trimming. Or you can travel the world through cuisine, slurping steaming bowls of Japanese noodles at pop-up Ramen Bar and sipping Mexican cocktails while munching tacos at cantina La Casita.
For the best possible start to your day, stroll the town’s main streets to grab great coffee and breakfast at cafes like Happy Dolphin and Table View, the latter delivering an innovative menu with a Scandinavian twist. For fine dining, head to the 22-seater Fleet for farm-to-table produce.
Festivals & events
Water is also the star of the town’s events calendar, with May’s Mullum2Bruns Paddle spanning 10km down the Brunswick River and raising funds for local charities. It may sound like a seafood celebration, but the annual Festival of the Fish ‘n’ Chips (officially known as Woodchop) in January actually revolves around a wood chopping competition – with a carnival, twilight market and fireworks on the side.
You can pick up local produce, arts and crafts at the Brunswick Heads Monthly Markets, held in the middle of town on the first Saturday of the month, or come June, hunt for vintage treasures at the Old And Gold Festival.
There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill but they are not regular, we recommend having a car to explore the area.
自我介绍
Hi, I am Jenny! Myself and my young family made the Byron shire our home in January 2020, after emigrating from the UK and we LOVE it. I set up Ocean Vibes Property Management 12 months ago and manage an array of places in the Northern Rivers for my lovely owners. Living locally means I can be a 'hands-on' host if needed and can offer lots of great tips for exploring the local area. We love to travel and love the great outdoors, especially the Ocean. Our love for the sea has taken us all over the world as Scuba diving Instructors and we are so blessed to have had those experiences. I love to go for long runs, do Yoga with my friends and am currently learning to surf along with my 3 children! I have over 5 years of experience in property management and hosting, and just recently set up my own hosting business in the area - Ocean Vibes Property Management. My Partner is the local handyman and plumber and so he is on hand if any issues arise during your stay. We are committed to offering a fabulous stress-free stay to all our guests, allowing you to kick back, relax and enjoy this beautiful part of our amazing planet! Ocean Vibes look forward to hosting you very soon!
