This listing was perfect. It was exactly as pictured. It was very spacious and there was a ton of natural light in the loft. The neighborhood was quiet and close to BART. The hosts were helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay again.
The house is located in West Oakland’s Prescott neighborhood with its historic Victorians - including ours with is a City of Oakland Landmark as the former home of Captain William Shorey - that often served as the weekend for San Fransicans due to its warmer weather (especially compared to San Francisco) and a neighborhood that is quiet and flat which makes it easy to get around (BART the subway system is a 10 minute walk away. There are areas around West Oakland with brand new condo developments, homes, as well as beautiful restored/modernized Victorian homes - like ours and those on our block.
Please note this is a city with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. Anywhere in the Bay Area use caution esp do not leave any valuables in your car. We allow you to check in early if needed to drop off bags. We love the area and we know you will love it too!
By the way! - A couple of blocks away is a phenomenal eatery that serves breakfast and lunch daily called 10th and Wood - the fresh served OJ is a must accompanied by any of their fried chicken sandwiches.
