THIS PLACE IS AN AMAZING FIND. A group of us were looking to go camping/rafting on the Kern River over the 4th of July weekend but every campsite was booked. Desperately I checked AirBnB and came across this listing for a private campground and of course was hesitant but it turned out to be literally my favorite camping spot ever. John was incredibly hospitable, showed us around, helped us get firewood, stopped by and chatted and hung out and made sure we were all doing good! He's built the place from the ground up so everything is new and clean. The facilities are super nice, there's a whole dining area with a new grill as well as a sink, bear box, misc cooking items you might need. There's a shower that's way nicer than the ones at the campgrounds, a campfire with firewood, all the water is drinkable spring water, but the BEST PART is the private creek that runs through the property. There's multiple little pools in the creek you can swim in and hang out in and we pitched a hammock over the creek - most relaxing thing ever. Was super pleased with this experience and would definitely recommend, it's much much better than the campsites in the surrounding area. Thanks for everything John!!

John’s outdoor space is unlike any campgrounds you have seen. He has many beautiful trees and rocks surrounding the area, and each campsite is so cute! The Tiny House was very cozy for my grandparents to stay in, and the communal dining hall has everything you could need! During nightfall the walkways are pretty well lit, and he has torches you can light to give you some good night lighting. Just be mindful when its really hot it can be too dangerous to have a campfire open. The kern river is really close by, and there is also a Vons Grocery store about 15 minutes away. Lots of fun water activities at the river! It can get really hot so be sure to bring a fan or mister if you visit in the summer. My family group of 18 enjoyed looking at the stars and cooking up big meals together. Thank you John!

John and Kelly where great and very easy to work with. Although I did not get to meet them in person, John was more than helpful on the phone. As for the property I couldn't have been happier. Everything was really thought out and made for a nice relaxing time. The outdoor kitchen area was beautiful and very functional as we spent plenty of time in there. Each campsite is unique and spread out from each other making it seam really peaceful. (especially being able to hear the stream in the back of the property) The entire process was really easy and all 11 of us that stayed on the Spirit Walk property really couldn't have asked for a better place. We all hope to go back again next year!
