was working a flinders uni for a week. easy 1/2 hr walk and lost if shop options for meals.
Plenty of space, light and airy.
Unfortunately this property did not meet our expectations. The property had not had a pre-arrival check done and the house, outside area, garage and gardens were very dirty which made our stay quite uncomfortable. We were offered to leave with a full refund the first night but with the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the time of our arrival, this was not possible. Jessica responded quickly and had cleaners come through the next day to do a quick clean but with the feedback and photos I had given she agreed it needed a deep clean after we left. Saying this, we were unable to take advantage of the outside area and had to use our camping chairs for comfort in the lounge area. This was advertised as having 2.5 bathrooms but only had 1.5 with no towel rack, shelves or wash area in the laundry (half bathroom). Cleanliness, garden maintenance, garage and entrance areas need attention. I hope my constructive feedback to Jessica is taken on board for the comfort of future guests.
Overall a lovely place to stay within walking distance to playgrounds and shopping. The jungle theme throughout was really fun, and we loved the lush back yard and outdoor living space. However, a little more attention to maintenance is required. Pet hair on the cushions on our bed, a plug in the kitchen sink that doesn't work, and broken kitchen bin, outside blind that doesn't work on master bedroom window, are all things that could easily be fixed. At check-in, after a long day driving with little kids in the heat, we arrived only to discover that the code they'd given us didn't work and we waited on the phone for 6 minutes before it timed out. I then tried texting which they did respond to fairly quickly. We did love that there's plenty of parking space which was great since we were on a working holiday with a tool trailer.
Jessica was a lovely host very responsive. Great location just had an issue with the shower tap falling off and we could not use it but we did have a bath and another shower we used. Might need a few repairs done but overall a great stay. Thank you
