The space is intimate and cozy--ideal for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 young children. Although it could technically accommodate 4 adults, it would be a bit cramped and is not recommended by the hosts. Sleeping Arrangements: 1 Queen Murphy Bed; in living room; sleeps 2 adults 1 Full Convertible Sofa; in living room; sleeps 2 small children *Queen size Murphy bed easily lifts to provide ample living space when not in use *Sofa folds out to create a full size sleeper for children Kitchen: *Full kitchen fully stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave, breakfast bar, dining room table Bathroom: *Full bathroom, tub/shower, sundries provided Studio/Living Space: *contains murphy bed and convertible sofa *Wood-burning fireplace *Reclining chair *Patio deck (adjacent) Please note: that there is limited room when the murphy bed and sofa are both down and utilized for sleeping. Need more space? Book the adjacent unit to create a suite. This works much the same as two hotel rooms with separate entrances but joined as a suite when desired. Perfect place for a weekend getaway! We loved walking out the sliding glass door to trails and down to the huge hot tub. The kitchen was so well equipped and there’s a great organic small market right nearby. Easy drive to Palisades, Blackwood Canyon sno-park, Lake Tahoe shoreline, and more! Excellent hosts and gem of a place, look no further!
My girlfriend and I had a great weekend. Close to all of the restaurants and stores!
We enjoyed staying here! Very close to skiing, lots of parking, convenient and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay!
As advertised. Small but functional space close to downtown and the lake.
The check-in instructions are very easy to follow. The check-out duties were minimal, other than the basics (which we appreciate!). The hot tub and pool are a great benefit after skiing all day, we always look for locations that have this (don't enter from the gate, the alarm will sound! - go through the door to enter the pool house first). Location was the best part. It was close to Alpine and Squaw, as well as bakeries, coffee shops and really great restaurants. The accommodations were very sweet and cozy. My husband and I came to Lake Tahoe to ski so we didn't need much, and this place had it all in one studio space. If you plan to cook, make sure to bring some oil or butter. There were salt and pepper shakers, and coffee filters when we stayed.

The sun streams in in the mornings, you ride up to Page Meadows, relax at the year around pool/spa, the creek babbles, the fire crackles , you savor. Enjoy the soft mountain breezes from the studio's private ground-floor deck surrounded by natural light with evening sun. The tennis courts of Granlibakken are a delight. It feels secluded yet is in the heart of Tahoe City set back from the Truckee River. In winter, saunter over to the base of the ski & sledding hill by the log cabin warming hut. In summer, stroll down the path to the truckee river with your SUP in hand, bike to the lake, or ride/hike the Tahoe Rim Trail and Pacific Crest Trail--all accessed from from the property. You reside in the heart of Tahoe.
