Enjoy this great West Shore location and home surrounded by trees and open space. This 3-bedroom completely updated and modernized vacation home provides a cozy spot for family and friends as well as easy access to West Shore locations and Tahoe City. You enter the house into the downstairs living space which includes the living room. dining area and kitchen with breakfast bar for 3. Down the hall, you'll find a queen bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs is cozy, with the two additional bedrooms and second bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed the the third, a single set of twin bunks. These two rooms share a balcony with seating to enjoy the great woodsy views. The living room has a large television and gas stove. Two additional chairs for the dining table are nearby. The West Shore is a great place for a Tahoe getaway and this neighborhood, about two miles from Tahoe City, is a perfect spot. A little over a half mile walk or bike distance to Sunnyside Bar, Restaurant and Beach. It is also so close to many hiking/biking trails during the summer months. During the Winter season you are close to Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort and Northstar at Tahoe (Alpine and Homewood are the closest.) Tahoe XC is a short drive and great for Nordic skiing or snowshoeing. During the ski season Palisades has a shuttle that runs from Sunnyside up to the Sherwood Chair on the backside of Alpine Meadows Resort. Be sure to research that schedule to make your resort access super easy. Summer on the Westshore is as good as it gets! Beaches, boats, hikes, and bikes. Tahoe City shopping, groceries, bars and restaurants are a few miles away. Just down the street at the bottom of Ward Creek Blvd is Kilner Park, offering tennis, pickleball volleyball and a playground area. Sunnyside, Firesign Cafe and Spoon's Restaurants are a short walk. The West Shore Market with great a grocery selection, and good beer and wine choices is very nearby too. The Market also serves sandwiches and flat bread pizzas. Tahoe City is your closest option to the laundromat and is about 3 miles drive. * We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing extra for longer stays. * We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash although there could be some left from previous guests. * We recommend 4 x 4, AWD, or carrying snow chains in the winter months. * There is no air conditioning. * Firewood is not provided, but can be purchased locally. This place is nicely renovated inside, cool layout and beautiful location. The house is situated so you feel like you’re tucked away at a lake cabin in the trees with your neighbors but is still within walking distance down the road to the water’s edge, a market and a couple places to eat like Sunnyside & Fire Sign Cafe. Also easy access to water sport rentals! Amazing spot. We look forward to coming back. Thank you.
