The home is as pictured, it’s an older home that has been updated but still has some of those older home features apparent. It was clean and had what we needed. The location for Hatcher Pass is perfect, just down the road from CC skiing, Skeetawk, HP backcountry area, a few local restaurants. It’s a nice neighborhood with a big yard. When we checked in, it was a very cold day in Palmer (-15 F) and there was heat and hot water issues the first day, but the outside weather warmed up, and the supplemented heat source was then able to keep up with the heating needs inside. The contact was very responsive, friendly and as helpful as they could be, considering it was late night/weekend issues. We had a great weekend and I would stay there again.

This place is about as close as you can get to Hatcher’s Pass. It is close to main roads that take you to Palmer or Wasilla, but the house itself is on a quiet road so it feels cozy. The house matches the pictures online and is accurate as described. The shower had good pressure and the kitchen had the implements we needed. There was also a washer and dryer! This place is quiet, clean, and feels very Alaskan- I liked staying here and would stay again.

Was not as expected. Tried to look past the Airbnb not as pictured, untamed lawn, stairs broken, door handle taped together, not secluded as pictured, dirty dishes, broken laundry door, oven didn’t work properly & uneven structure. On top of this we had a family emergency & after gone all day we came back to personal items messed with. We ended up leaving the Airbnb in the middle of the night & no refund was issued. Spoke with multiple representatives & expressed concerns & nothing was done.

Great place to stay if your planning to recreate around the hatcher pass area or if you just want to be a little ways from town.
