You are welcome to leave the cleaning to us, but if you are interested in tidying up during your stay, you can use the whole house vacuuming system.
Honestly the place is even better than the photos. The host was great and got back to us with the one minor question we ran into right away. Make sure to note that the bedroom sizes are very different, like goldilocks and the three bears different. I didn't realize how much better the main bedroom would be and quite how small the smaller bedroom was. We picked bedrooms by drawing random cards, but groups should have a plan to handle the disparity. This is an 11/10 place and we may come again!
Second time staying there, love it. The fireplace, cozy beds, amazing shower. All of it was so nice!
What a gorgeous, spacious, unique home! Watching the aircraft take off and land was really cool. The Mountain View’s out of the windows were also stunningly gorgeous, we saw quite a bit of wildlife in the neighborhood (moose), and finding the place was very easy. Kelly was extremely responsive for all of my questions and she was very accommodating when on the morning of checkout our plans changed and she immediately altered the booking to include another night without additional service fees. I highly recommend for a wonderful experience and quiet, safe, place to stay! I would book the next time we come back to Wasilla!
Wolf Lake Airport House is located in a small subdivision right on Wolf Lake airstrip. Many of the homes in the area are hangar homes and many of the neighbors are pilots. The area is private and quiet, aside from the comings and goings of small planes and helicopters in the area.
The neighborhood is in a great central location between Palmer and Wasilla, and there are many breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques within driving distance.
Here are some distances to give you an idea:
8 miles to downtown Palmer (15 minutes)
8.4 miles to Wasilla (17 minutes)
45 miles to Anchorage (50 minutes)
A car is required to get around, and AWD is handy in the winter. You'll have a driveway with a few parking spots available to you.
