Great place to stay while visiting Boone and Banner Elk. It’s a residential neighborhood on a mountain so be prepared for narrow and windy roads -they are paved. Space for 2 cars only so we did not host our other family (in another house) for a meal (we went to theirs). This property is well kept, very clear directions and labels, dog friendly and very clean. The one feedback I would have is that the spiral staircase is very narrow and the bathrooms are on the small side. The downstairs bedroom has a separate bedroom which was very helpful! Overall super functional with a fabulous back deck and we would definitely return!

we enjoyed our stay here. very nice place and the host is awesome. my granny had left her reading glasses on accident and they reached out to us and were gonna mail them to us.

Our family came from RVA for a few days over spring break to explore Boone/Blowing Rock. Jay’s home was exactly what we were looking for - great location for hiking (right in the neighborhood) and exploring both towns. Plenty of space for our family of four (two teenagers who loved having their own rooms) and our dog! We thought the lights on the railing inside and outside were a great addition to making it even more welcoming than it already was! Highly recommend!

very simple and pleasant place to stay at. Pet friendly, cozy, and close to the slopes, shopping, and food. Don't recommend for people with health issues as the steps up the house are steep. However, it's clear in the description before booking. All around, my family and I were happy and had a good time.
