Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place in the center of Betterton, MD. You can walk to the beach to relax, find some sea glass or watch the sunset! The kids will enjoy the large playground at the park right around the corner while the adults play a game of tennis or pickle ball. This house has an adorable kitchen stocked with basic condiments. There are three tranquil bedrooms, one amazing bathroom and three beautiful outdoor spaces to unwind. Kids items upon request. The house is two stories. The first floor has a living room, kitchen and bathroom, screened porch and a deck. The second story has 3 bedrooms and an upstairs balcony porch.

Tanya was a warm and caring host with a beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet nook of a charming little old country town. Steps from the sandy bay beach and fully equipped with all a family could ever need. We grilled with the friendly neighbors next door, rode bikes to the beach and all around town until our legs could take no more. The availability of (4) bicycles led to our first ever family bike rides, which parents and kids loved! The beds were comfy, each room with a tv. the shower was clean and immaculate like the rest of the house. On the colder day of our stay, the heat was amazing and cozy. We ate pizza from Marzella’s a few mins walk away - good pizza and the nicest staff imaginable. They gave my daughters free ice creams just for showing up. What a perfect little escape from the big city. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit. Parents: if you are going to spend a night at Great Wolf Lodge for the kids, consider a stay at Tanya’s after - it’s not that far
Everything was wonderful. We only stayed for a weekend. The small touches were what counted the most. When we figured out that we had forgotten something... we looked to see maybe we could improvise, we found what we were missing was just there. (needed an iron, used a flat iron for hair then found a real iron).
A great place for a ladies weekend. The house is clean, had 5 beds, and plenty of kitchen tools and amenities to stay inside and cook. The kitchen table is just right for a game night and couches comfy to watch a show. The shower is pristine and absolutely love the warm bath tile floor. Would come back for another stay and recommend to friends.
My family which included three young children stayed at Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage and were quite impressed with how cute and meticulous it was. Necessary toiletries were available as well as some coffee supplies and a few other conveniences that made it easy during our stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
Tanya’s Cottage was perfect for our weekend trip! The house was in beautiful condition and recently renovated, the amenities had everything you could want, and Tanya was an extremely responsive and accommodating host. We can’t wait to be back!

Betterton is a quiet little town with a public beach down the street from the cottage! There is a great park in town with a kids play area, basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts.
There is one restaurant in town, Marzellas. They sell pizza, salad, sandwiches, beer, ice cream, chips ;etc. They can deliver if needed but they are not far from the cottage if you prefer to walk or drive there.
There is one bar, The American Legion Post #246. This is open to the public. They have a bar that sells drinks and limited food. They have pool tables, slot machines, bingo and events throughout the year. You could also walk to the legion from the cottage.
There is a museum on Main Street in our town hall. They have limited hours and may be closed during the off season. Check in advance before going.
There are no grocery stores or gas stations in Betterton.
The house has parking for 2-3 cars depending on the size of the vehicles. You can walk everywhere in the town. The beach is downhill from the cottage so some may have a harder time walking back uphill. There is public parking at the beach and park if walking is an issue for you.
