Perfect getaway!!

One of those places where you want to tell everyone, but want to keep it a secret! We absolutely LOVED this secluded cabin. We’ve traveled all over US looking for something private and secluded, while still having such beautiful water and trail access,and this jewel was right under our noses. We actually were going to go to Bankhead Park on our long weekend day, but after seeing the secret beach decided to stay in! Bring your cooler and supplies, because you will not want to leave. We drank coffee on the overlook in the morning and could hear the creek, we grilled out while our pups rolled around in the leaves, and relaxed at night watching the movies provided. Our wild pups loved running and playing in the woods and in the water, and were completely exhausted at night. We did bring their beds, but the hosts had pet blankets for them and they made themselves right at home. We are already trying to find a free weekend to go back and bring our favorite scary movies (dvds)! Book it!

we stayed here for our 23rd. anniversary. wanted a secluded private place. And this is for sure that. surrounded by acres and acres of deep wooded forest. We cooked the whole weekend never left except for the first day there to go to Walmart. which was about 35 to 45 min away . we had hoped that you could see the creek from the porches or house but the trees have for sure matured to keep that from happening. But walking to see the secret beach was a good outing for us to enjoy. The scenery. wonderful place to relax.

Our stay was everything we’d hoped for. We needed somewhere to de-stress, and the calming peace of the place did that for us. The house was comfortable and homey, plenty of room for us. Lots of towels, bed comfortable, everything clean. We brought our own covers to keep the dog hair and potentially muddy paws off the furniture, but there was also a basket of covers and towels supplied for use with the dogs, which I appreciated. Our pups enjoyed their stay,too, out on the trails with us and running around in the big field behind the barn. The creek and the Secret Beach are beautiful, and the sound of it gurgling down below the gazebo brought smiles to our faces. Honestly, we wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Maggie and Mark, for sharing such a beautiful, peaceful place with us!

This is a place that I’m telling all of my friends and family about! Wow, if you’re wanting to disconnect in a forest wonderland, this is the place to go. There’s a secret beach, a hidden/cliff side pergola, and the perfect old house. Get ready to see the stars, beautiful sunrises, and butterflies.
