Relax with the whole family at this peaceful chalet in the woods! Recharge communing with nature, soak in the hot tub, heat up in the sauna, cool down with a cold splash, and later in the season - visit nearby Bass Lake (10 minutes). Family and pet friendly, our chalet-style home is located on a quiet rural road set in the woods, with no neighbors in sight. You will sleep in a quiet and peaceful setting, disturbed only by birds and our roosters in the morning! Plenty of outdoor space to play. PLEASE READ! You will get the whole house! Built in Chalet style, our home has vaulted ceilings on the main floor, floating stairs, woodstove and wood oven inside the house, a walk-out basement with a fully separate suite downstairs, in case any of your group want a little privacy from each other. It is a fully equipped home that has every thing a family might need during their time away from home: linens, towels, blankets, pillows, kitchen supplies, utensils, pots, pans, BBQ, propane, outdoor furniture and games and so much more! There is a caretaker on site but he is quite far away from the house and will not be anywhere near your space, unless you request his services or there is a problem. Guest access: The entire house and yard is yours! Your boundaries are marked by signs. Please stay within your boundaries, as we have our guard dogs roaming the territory (they can be tied up if you are not comfortable with dogs). We also have chickens and roosters on the territory. Sometimes they are out strolling the yard. Our yard is not fenced, therefore your pets should not be free to roam the forest so they don’t get lost. We do have wildlife in the area and in order to keep your furry friends safe, they should be supervised during your stay. We have 7 beds and 2 pull/fold out couches that turn to queen-size beds.1 baby crib/playpen, 2 couches that can be slept on if needed. 3 bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom in the basement suite. Total of 3 shares living spaces and 2 indoor dining areas. Dining table seats 7. There are 5 foldable chairs in the hallway closet to accommodate more people at the dining table. There are 3 breakfast table seats as well. HOT TUB: Is yours to use 24/7. It’s always on and easy to use. No need to book, no sharing! Accommodates 5-6 persons at a time. Heated to F103, or can be turned down for summer time upon request. ATTENTION! Do not push control buttons on the hot tub other than jets!!! You may lock the panel, or worse, cause a tech visit, which will cost $250. So, only jets please! NO glassware in the hot tub. Use plastic cups or cans please. Shower before use. SAUNA: It’s wood burning and requires a qualified person to operate it. Therefore, if you wish to use sauna - please book the sauna at the time of booking, specifying the date and the time when you wish to use it for a 2-3 hour usage interval. Our caretaker will attend on-site and will prepare the sauna for you. Should you decide to use the sauna after you arrive here, please contact our caretaker to make arrangements. Late sauna booking cannot be guaranteed. We will keep it going 2-3 hour at a time within the hours of 11 am and 9 pm. We will include sauna once per stay free of charge. Any additional times a fee of $100 will apply. THINGS TO DO: We have trails you can explore on your part of the property, lots of open space for kids to run around, outdoor toys and activities: badminton, volleyball for your outdoor activities. For rainy days we have 3 TVs: all with access to YouTube and Netflix. Pool table, hi-speed Bell internet, lots of board games, playing cards and books. Simcoe regional forest, Mt St. Louis, horseshoe valley resort, Vetta Spa, quail’s brewery, Bass Lake, lake couchiching, horseback riding are just a few places to explore in the surrounding area.
