For the lake we now offer a Sears Mercury Rowboat for those looking to fish, inquire about renting a trolling motor. The front deck is perfect for lounging and relaxing with a new hammock and patio furniture. Additionally the home has undergone outdoor landscaping changes expanding the yard. Built in 2003 Duck Cove Lodge is a spacious 2000 sq. foot lakefront cabin nestled on Saint Joseph's Lake. Lake Joseph is a man-made lake with no gas motors allowed. The home features fast WIFI for working from home or streaming in your down time. Duck Cove Lodge features modern comforts while allowing you to enjoy the tranquility and charm of the area. This waterfront home features 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. Outdoor spaces include a private deck, private dock, and lots of open space. There is central heat and AC on the upper level along with a mini split in the common area. The basement has mini split heat/AC in the bedroom and the living room. The master suite located downstairs features a view of the lake, a king bed, and an ensuite bathroom containing a shower and the sauna. Upstairs the second bedroom features a double bed, a television and a view of the lake. The third bedroom has two single beds and a television. Each of the bedrooms contains a closet and dresser for your use during your stay. The upstairs bathroom is in the hallway between the second and third bedrooms and features a jetted whirlpool style tub/shower. The upstairs living room features floor to ceiling windows facing the deck with a view of the lake. You will also find a large flat screen television with a dvd player in both living rooms. The downstairs living room features a view of the lake through a sliding door, along with the propane fireplace and a couch for relaxing. The downstairs living area also contains a teacher style desk which serves as a dedicated space from which to work. All the Televisions have a Roku streaming device connected to them. The Roku allows you to bring your own streaming services to your stay. You enter the dates of your stay and then use your logins to access the streaming services you already have. This allows you to access your library and preferences. When your stay is over the Roku devices will automatically delete your login and personal information. The Kitchen is equipped with a gas stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and toaster. You will find silverware, pots, pans, plates, in addition to glass cups and wine glasses to meet your needs. If you are going outside we have a set of clear blue plastic cups for use at our outdoor dining or around the property. On the deck is an outdoor dining area and some lounging furniture. Enjoy a cookout on the propane grill or relax in the shade under the motorized awning and umbrella. Down by the shore you will find a wood burning pit and some lounging furniture. Installed party lights enhance your evenings on the deck. Near the water are 3 single kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, and a rowboat that are available for you to use during your stay. Please note that properly fitted lifejackets are required to be worn at all times on the water, feel free to bring your own or utilize the ones available in the shed. Our bathrooms include the essentials such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper for your stay. You can find your towels in each bedroom. The beds will be made with some extra bedding in the closets. The laundry room will have some cleaning supplies as well as the iron and ironing board. Any additional supplies will be located under the sinks in the bathrooms or kitchen. Children under 12 are welcome but please be aware of the hazard of a hot fireplace if you choose to use it. Children should not be left unsupervised outside due to open water, the roadway, and a steep hill. Cleaning supplies can be located out of child's reach if requested. The home is NOT childproofed and includes corded shades, unlatched cabinets, and an indoor staircase without gates.
