Beautiful home on the river with access to fishing and crab fishing. Kayaking is a plus it was great. We loved this place and would definitely return, thank you Karen for everything!!!!

My husband and I enjoyed our time at Karen's house. It's furnished in a very homey way and the kitchen has lots of everything...spices, equipment, cooking pans. It's nice to sit on the back porch and watch the tide go in and out...watch the birds...very peaceful, quiet spot.

The beds were super comfortable and the view and dock were fantastic, but I wanted to have a vacation too and didn't like being asked by the host to wipe down the stove and clean the counters when I was charged a $150 cleaning fee. My family didn't notice too much, but I'm quite sensitive and some kinds of noise much of the time on the dock. (I won't point it out to ruin it for you!) It is good value if you're willing to be in an area where there's not much to do and can bring your own food and things. We were there X-mas to New Year and the closest thing - the Sapelo Island visitor's center had terrible communication so we didn't wind up going. I appears that the Ferry only runs back at noon during this time, so find out beforehand. Even Yelp didn't work - a 4.5 star-rated restaurant in Darien (Skippers) was a dud.

We stayed 8 nights, and we had a great time. The home is very private and secluded with beautiful surroundings. This home was totally stocked with everything we needed for a week long stay. We spent most of our time just relaxing in the home and outside on the dock. We seen some dolphins and even an alligator. It would be a great place for someone with a boat because a boat ramp is just a few miles away from the home. The outside of the home was beautifully landscaped with a nice back porch and a brick walkway. The host was very responsive and easy to work with, and the price was very reasonable. I hope I get a chance in the future to stay at this wonderful home again.

What a wonderful place in a beautiful setting. My only complaint is that my stay was too short!
