KalMar is a wonderful place to get away for rest and relaxation. Thank you for a memorable stay.
This place is paradise! Located on top of a hill overlooking the beach and the ocean. The views are stunning and I saw several pods of whales as I sat eating breakfast or chilling by the gorgeous pool. Silvia and her team are wonderful, providing great tips for the area and serving up excellent breakfasts every morning. The house also has the most amazing dog called Yul. Shy at first, but very affectionate and friendly once she gets to know you. We loved our stay & can’t wait to return. Thank you!!
This is our second time at Casa Kalmar and we love it as much as the first time. Silvia, Christina, and the entire staff is wonderful. The food is excellent. The view can’t be beat. The internet can be a little slow at times, but that actually helped us disconnect. Don’t come to Zipolite to do work. Enjoy this beautiful paradise.
We stayed for 1 week. Place is super clean and honestly our Rocamar suite was better than the photos! Silvia and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and convenient. Pool and view are stunning. Wifi internet did not work much of the time, which, after further investigation, I learned is common in this area of zipolite. If you’re looking for a beautiful place with a pool and a view, this is your spot. If you need consistent wifi, this is not your spot.
Zipolite is a relaxed, friendly town with a good choice of restaurants. There are no high-rises or chain resorts in this area of Mexico. Along the main street, which runs parallel to the beach, you can shop or eat, catch some live music, or, in high season, browse the evening street market of local handmade goods and crafts. Many restaurants have seating on the beach, where you can sip a drink by candlelight with your feet in the sand. Other nearby towns with their own vibe and beaches are San Agustinillo, Mazunte, and Puerto Angel, reachable by cab or rented scooter.
In Zipolite, on the beach and in the "Adoquin" (economical center), you can find many restaurants and bars. In the Adoquin, there are also groceries, ATM, scooter and bicycle rentals, handcraft shops, internet point and an ice cream parlor.
To move around you can choose between private taxis, taxis “colectivos” or public transportations as "camionetas" or “pasajeras”. The near beaches of Puerto Angel, San Agustinillo, Mazunte and Ventanilla, are easily reachable by “camionetas” which only run from 7am to 7pm. Pochutla is the closest town where you can find a big supermarket, few banks and on Monday there is the local street market.
Huatulco airport is at about 1 hour and Puerto Escondido 1 hour and a half, public buses run almost every hour in both directions.
From Pochutla, by bus, you can reach the most important cities all around Mexico.
自我介绍
Hi everyone, I am Silvia, I am Italian and I came in Mexico first time 20 years ago. I felt in love with Zipolite immediately and finally, in October 2015 I decided to move and live here permanently. I love walk on the beach listening to the magical music of the waves, watching pelicans and seagulls flying over the sea and make a refreshing dive in the ocean. I also practice yoga and meditation. I am now managing this beautiful house and I will be happy to welcome you and help you to organize your stay.
