Lovely warm cosy little cottage, beautifully situated with open countryside views. Deer and other wildlife seen from the wondows. Ideal for visiting local attractions, including Beamish Museum, local walks, Hadrians Wall, Hexham, Durham and the coast.
The hosts were wonderful to deal with but messages to Cottages dot com as intermediaries went completeely unanswered.
Perfect place to stay for a quiet secluded break. We stayed in the cottage while away working in Durham and it was a really easy commute. There is an excellent Italian restaurant in Lanchester and you’re not far away from Consett. Excellent communication from the host and really easy access and directions. Would definitely stay again.
