The Bodos Hut sits in the heart of our woodland offering immersive sounds of wildlife, privacy & a relaxing experience. From the luxury of the cosy cabin, you can enjoy a dining experience inside the Hut or step outside and dine amongst the nature of the woodland. Enjoy an outdoor bath & BBQ in the summer air or take comfort during the colder months. Complimentary rose petals & bath salts provided. Up to 2 dogs welcome at £15 per stay 🐶 Insta 📷 @ southfieldescapes The Bodos Hut features a cosy double bed with flat screen TV. A modern fully fitted kitchen & bathroom. The bathroom has a modern toilet, fresh towels and a shower; whilst the kitchen features a gas cooker, small fridge, seating area with a dining table, an electric fire, combi-microwave, kettle & toaster. There is also a private outdoor bath with hot running water that fits up to 2 adults. Enjoy the relaxation of the woods while you bath outside with bath salts and rose petals provided. There is also cold running water for the bath for those wanting a cold plunge. SAUNA: A basket of firelighters, sticks & logs are inside the Hut for you to take over to the wood burning Sauna. Please note that the Sauna takes up to 1 hour to heat to full temperature. This is an exciting experience for you to prepare the Sauna for your own use!

An amazing place to stay, extremely beautiful private surroundings. Had a lovely pheasant pop by a few times that was lovely to watch go about his business. Beckie was a lovely host and replied extremely fast to all our questions and couldn’t have been more helpful. Fully recommend the place for anyone wanting a nice breakaway
My wife and i really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Even saw some wildlife including squirrels and deer. Would highly recommend and we would definitely go back.

Had a lovely stay at the hut The breakfast I got in the hamper was gorgeous, and the outside bath was dreamy and I loved the petals and bath salts We had a great time The only thing I felt strange about was the huts being in such close proximity to the actual farm buildings themselves But on an evening everything was very calm and peaceful still

The Hut is located on our private, family run farm so you can expect privacy and peaceful surrounding.
For guests who enjoy exploring, there are very pleasant walks / cycle paths around the Derwent Valley. Starting from the Hut you will pass Hamsterley Hall & land on the tree-lined walk which skirts Hamsterley Mill & Hamsterley & reveals panoramic views north across the valley from strategic viewing places.
Close to us, Pontburn Woods, represents one of the Derwent Valley's largest remaining areas of deciduous woodlan & is Popular with locals who enjoy good access via a comprehensive path network.
4 miles from us, Chopwell Woodland Park offers 3 different trails to choose from. At 7km, the Boundary walk is the most challenging of their trails, the Old Railway Footpath will take you on a moderate walk on forest tracks or take the Easy Access trail for a short circular walk suitable for all.
For those wanting to go to the cinema or shopping, the metro centre is around 7 miles from us, Durham city centre is around 11 miles from us and Newcastle city centre is approximately 9 miles from us.
