Upul und seine Familie waren großartige Gastgeber. Sie haben uns kulinarisch hervorragend versorgt und hatten Spaß am gegenseitigen Austausch über alle möglichen Themen. Sehr große Mühe haben Sie sich gemacht unsere Ausflugsziele zu organisieren sowie unsere Weiterreise mit dem öffentlichen Bus. Ohne sie hätten wir unseren Aufenthalt nicht so realisieren können, wie wir es uns gewünscht haben. 5 Sterne + Absolute Weiterempfehlung, wenn man Sri Lanka authentisch kennenlernen möchte.

We truly had a fantastic stay at Rock View Homestay. The owners are incredibly lovely and go our of their way for their guests. Some highlights - The food was fantastic and and excellent value! The portions were large and we felt guilty every night when we couldn't finish everything! - The beds, pillows and linen were excellent. - The rooms and common area is was really clean. - Short 5 min walk to Dambulla Cave temple. - We fogot our baby monitor and the host happily arranged shipping to our next accommodation. - The hosts! Upul's wife was so good and caring with our two young kids and Upul was always happy to chat. We had a single low light. We booked two rooms for our family of 4 and this was confirmed on Air BnB chat. Unfortunately one of the rooms got double booked which wasn't made clear to us until arrival. Upul was apologetic and we agreed that I would be charged for the single room only. Overall it didn't have a big impact on the enjoyment of our stay.

We had a great stay with Upul and his family. They were very kind and helpful. Even though Dambulla is a town with a lot of traffic you can hardly notice it from Upuls guest house. Upul arranged a tour from Dambulla to Sigirya by tuc-tuc that worked perfectly. Afterwards we had a short walk to the Dambulla caves. We had dinner at the guest house that was great! Would definitely stay here again!
