Enjoyed a serene and enchanting three day holiday at Poonch House! The heritage bungalow, surrounded by deodar trees, the place offered a calm and relaxing experience. Our cottage was beautifully furnished with two bedrooms, and the collection of interesting books added to the ambiance. Bharat, the host, was welcoming, from the moment we arrived, he ensured my family was comfortable. His attentiveness and genuine care for our comfort were truly commendable. Raju, the caretaker and cook, impressed us with delicious meals, including the mouthwatering dum aloo and chicken curry. An added delight to the stay was delightful presence of Gabbar, Max, Cocoa, and the handsome Sultan (who got hurt 😞 coz of negligence of my daughter but Bharat was very sensitive and handled the situation very calmly). The furry companions added an extra layer of joy to our stay. Poonch House is truly a hidden gem that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Wholeheartedly recommend to book.

We have travelled as a family to many destinations in India and abroad & would like to benchmark our earlier experiences and genuinely compliment the host ( Bharat) for the high standards of hospitality extended during our stay at Poonch House. The experience was amongst the best. From the day the enquiry was raised , communication was prompt and full of useful local suggestions which really helped us get the best out of our 3 nights trip to Patnitop. According to my understanding, hands down the stay in Poonch House is the best possible stay option in Patnitop. It’s not always that the place you stay during your trip becomes the star attraction of the trip. This shows the passion of the host to ensure that the guest feels at home. Bharat was kind enough to welcome the family to the private areas of the estate to experience the property fully . Bharat is a great storyteller and we enjoyed the brief moments we sat down with him and exchanges thoughts. It was good to know the history of the place we were staying , helps to enjoy the place better. Also, big thank you to Poonch House staff specially Raju for the service. Last but not the least , our kids are missing the gang of friendly dogs ( Gabbar, Googly, Junior, Bella, Julie and Jack) , rabbit, hens, horses and cow :) . I still remember my kids pushing us to be back in the Poonch house quickly from our day trips to spend more time in the property and play with all of them. We have lot of memories to cherish from our stay at Poonch House . Cheers.

Wonderful place. Best in Patnitop by any measure. The hosts were welcoming and made our stay extra special by some thoughtful touches. The place had great views all around, and all the amenities. Definitely worth another visit. We all loved the hospitality, the place, the food, and everything else. Would be back soon.

Not enough words to describe the experience of this place. Amazing experience that helped us to unwind, relax and absorb the serenity of this place. Thanks to Bharat and Gurshish for being outstanding in their communication, prompt replies, their stories and never before experienced hospitality. This trip has been special because of your personalised touch to the place as well as to the stay. Couldn’t have asked for more. Home cooked food, bon-fires, peaceful location away from the nuisance of city, the snow experience, the personal view and some amazing stories are just few of the things I can mention here.
