Having been already mesmerized with Mawlynnong village, the stay at Eco Verde cottage was like icing on the cake. The place is very spacious, clean and includes everything that you need like heater, geyser, blankets, coffee / tea ingredients etc. Also the actual village and eateries are at a walking distance. Overall a highly recomended stay as it strikes a perfect balance between being a rustic place with all modern amenities. Mr. Lamphrang who is the host on the ground comes across as very friendly and helpful person.

The host Lam Freng was very kind and received us promptly and gave us recommendations on what to do in and sound the area. Great help! We were very happy with the cottage. Good place to stay.

It is a beautiful Assamese-style cottage just outside the gate of Mawlynnong, and it is in a great location that is an easy walk to Riwai for the root bridges in one direction and Mawlynnong village in the other. Property manager Lamphrang was incredibly helpful, providing detailed and accurate information on how to use shared Sumos to get from point A to point B (in my case: Mawlynnong to Dawki to Shillong within one day). The bathroom was spotless and modern, and the sleeping cabin was comfortable even without A/C. I really appreciated all the electrical outlets to charge my phone, the drinking water within the cabin, and the electric kettle with tea sachets and cups.
