I had a pleasant stay at Sam's place. All amenities that you can expect in a village were very well taken care of - immaculately clean bathroom, clean linen, towels, drinking water etc. Sam was very proactive and had called me to confirm that I have everything I need to reach his place on the day of my arrival. He also arranged food for us even though it was Good Friday and he had to go to Church. Sam's place is in a village called Mawlynnong which is aptly called God's Own Garden not just for its cleanliness but also for its beautiful landscaped gardens and houses. Its a great place for city dwellers to visit and learn from villagers how to be responsible to the place you live in. All in all, it was great to stay at Sam's place.

It's a small village and the place is very neat and clean. You can get local food in Nowhet which is 5km from this village. The room was very cosy and clean. Sam is super helpful as well.

This location in Mawlynnong village is just after last parking lot. Room is small but maintained very well. Wash room is very clean and all fittings are in very good condition. Since inside the village, very peaceful location and eating places are just a minute walk from this place. No breakfast provided. No wifi.. Mobile signal is poor in this place.. Sam is a very nice host and provided all information that we we needed...We recommend this place...

We (my Wife and daughter) stayed for 2 nights in one of the rooms at Sam’s homestay. The room was just enough for 3 people and baggage. The room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast served was also simple and light. The nearby restaurant serves simple veg food (rice , dal, sabzi and papad). As our host Sam arranged for all of our travel / nearby sightseeing and ensured smooth transit. He also lent his raincoats during the stay for ease of sightseeing. All in all a great stay and wonderful host.
