We were a group of 3 families who were in the Clayton area to see the total eclipse. The Bart Inn was the perfect location for our stay! The property was beautiful, with wonderful touches throughout. The kitchen had everything you would need and more, there were several great places for us to gather as a group and the property was very well maintained. We were within walking distance of downtown Clayton and headed there several times including to see the eclipse, which was in the path of totality and turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. Paul and Nancy were extremely responsive from even our planning stage, and when we arrived they had the local paper which detailed the eclipse events in the area, and gave us suggestions during our stay of where we could find interesting things (check out River Rat Cheese if you are in the area!). We would highly recommend staying here if you are looking in the Clayton area.

My three children, their spouses, and 4 grandchildren stayed at Paul’s for a family wedding. I couldn’t have been happier. The house was extremely well provisioned - way beyond the usual level - the house was clean, the location walking distance to our venue and it was comfortable, attractive, and had everything we needed. The hosts worked with us ahead of time to provide high chairs and cribs and were very helpful throughout. Highly recommend this place!

The Bart Inn was the perfect place to stay for our group and Paul and Nancy were the most accommodating hosts. The house includes all the amenities, and also some extras which really made the experience special. Our group can’t wait to come back and stay at the Bart Inn!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bart Inn, which we used as a base for exploring the Thousand Islands area for 5 days. Top notch experience from before we even arrived, with clear and helpful communications with our hosts. Then easy self check-in, arriving to an immaculate and spacious property — and welcomed with a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers, snacks and local wine. We had breakfast and dinner at home home every day, so we appreciated the kitchen stocked with everything you could need including condiments, oils and vinegar, coffee, spices etc. as well as cleaning supplies. Excellent barbecue and lots of garden and indoor games. There is a lovely porch with a swinging double chair for morning coffee as well as a picnic table for outdoor dining. Nancy and Paul thought of everything to make for a memorable experience.
