Thank you and your family for the hospitality! This home is very special! It has a spacious post & beam great-room with a spectacular view of the river. We enjoyed cooking in the sizable well equipped kitchen. We loved the HUGE shower and relaxing in the large bathtub. The house has a very comfortable organic feel. It is built against the face of a wooded cliff. Staying here does take planning, it is a long boat-ride to pickup whatever you forgot. We brought bottled water to drink as the tap water is pumped from the river (boiling is okay). We used our bikes and explored. There is an improbable gift shop within walking distance, but most of the other attractions on the island are several miles away. There is lots of nature to enjoy. The winery on the island will pick you up and return you home after your visit. We enjoyed a "paint and sip" event. Check their web-site. We highly recommend this home!
