Classic saltwater farmhouse updated with modern amenities: - 1st floor master with King Bed with full bathroom - Large eat-in kitchen, office, sun-porch, and large family room with access to deck are all also on the 1st floor. - Upstairs has 1 bedroom with king bed, 1 bedroom with a double, and 1 bedroom with a king and 2 single beds. - Full bath and 2 of the bedrooms share a half bath on the 2nd floor. - Outdoors is a a large deck with grill and a large fire pit area for entertaining. - Downtown Rockland is a 20-minute drive offering: Many restaurants and shops to browse. World-renowned Farnsworth Art Museum Lighthouse Museum Owls Head Transportation Museum -Several sandy beaches and many other attractions are close by: One mile south is Drift Inn beach, which is a beautiful sandy beach at low tide. Further down that road is the iconic Marshall Point Light, made famous by the movie Forest Gump. The lighthouse is a short drive from the fishing village of Port Clyde. There you can take the Monhegan Boat Lines ferry to Monhegan Island. North on Route 131 is the village of Tenants Harbor. It offers several restaurants and small shops. It is also home to many of the views that inspired artists N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth. Their family home is on Southern Island at the approach to the harbor. The Town of Owls Head offers 2 state parks and several other beaches with public access

Really great place, for 10 people you have a lot of space. Really has the perfect Maine coastal vibe we were looking for. Note that there’s also another airbnb loft over the living room. If you are 10, maybe go discuss quickly if people rented the loft so they are aware they might hear some noise. A couple was there during our stay and they were super chill with us. We are outdoor enthousiasts and there is so much to do around st-georges, will return next year!
The house was perfect for a weekend away. We had six people, which was a great number for the size of the house. There is a studio property above the large property, which was in the description but can be missed (neither we nor the studio tenants realized there were multiple rentals). They were lovely, and there were no issues. Overall it was a great experience!
The farmhouse offers a great waterview location, just a short drive to the ferry terminal at Port Clyde, with service to Monhegan Island.
Magnifique maison rustique et paisible, avec beaucoup de charme ! Située à 2 pas du bord de l’eau, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La literie est confortable, la cuisine très fonctionnelle. Ce n’est pas précisé dans l’annonce mais l’étage de la maison est aussi loué comme studio, donc vous ne serez peut-être pas seuls pendant votre séjour. Les instructions et informations communiquées par Shawn-Elise ont été très claires et complètes, même si j’aurais apprécié un contact plus personnalisé.
The home is big enough for a large group, yet comfortable and easy access to the main road. We will be back soon!

It is an approximately 200 miles and a 3.5 hour drive from Boston, up I-95, to US-1, to ME-131. There are also flights into either Portland or neighboring Owls Head airports.
