The perfect location! It was a wonderful place to relax. The beach and the water was fantastic. I would come back to stay again and again!

Ocean view with loads of scarlet macaws and we even had a tapir on the last day. We also saw dolphins in the bay and loved the night tour that Pascal helped us to arrange. Great spot for ocean access and wildlife, but it was hard without AC in the heat - other times of year would likely be cooler!

My family and I recently rented Pascal’s house for our kids’ spring break. We had a fantastic time and found it hard to leave the property. The experience was like sleeping in a treehouse all week. The location is wonderfully secluded and had lots of wildlife. Scarlet macaws visited us in the nearby trees early almost every morning. On our last day, we saw capuchin monkeys in the back yard. Down the road we saw howler monkeys and toucans. Town is about a 15-20 minute drive. Definitely get a 4x4 vehicle. I was worried about the heat and not having air conditioning but there were fans and the heat wasn’t a problem. The beach is directly across the street. There are hammocks to use and Adirondack style chairs on the beach to use for lounging. We enjoyed the beach before mid day and again in late afternoon. Overall a great location, house, and hosts. Puerto Jimenez is a great jumping off point for lots of exploration in the region.

Our family loved staying at Pascal and Manuel’s place. Right from the outset, Pascal was an excellent communicator and the digital Welcome Book is a wonderful resource with lots of useful information to make the most of your stay. We especially appreciated Pascal’s help with booking excursions and activities. Here are some highlights: - baby sea turtles! - hiking in Corcovado park and the wildlife- sloths, monkeys, tapirs! - morning coffee watching the sunrise and enjoying the scarlet mackaws that come every morning - swimming at the beach, almost all to ourselves - kayaking in the mangroves, more monkeys! - dolphin watching and snorkeling - horseback riding on the beach - the small surprises like the Halloween crabs at night, and iguanas on the patio We were hesitant about being without air conditioning, and the heat was challenging at times. However, the benefits of living outdoors in a space where you are so close to nature was very special and I wouldn’t trade it.

This place is paradise - beautiful location, beautiful house, and great communication - would highly recommend the trips offered - the boat trip and the chocolate tour creating memories that we will treasure - thank you Pascal and Manuel - we will be definitely be booking again
