Our group stayed at the house while working with Habitat for Humanity. The accommodations were great. We used the house and barn apartment. One suggestion is outdoor lighting by the barn apt entrance.

Kristi and her family were wonderful hosts! We felt right at home in their beautiful house that was two streets up from a privately owned lake. Quiet neighborhoods around us and because of the location, we felt like we had our own space and privacy with a nice view unobstructed from too many houses and people. Great driveway for riding bikes down if you have little one(s), great outdoor space for them to run and play. Inside our little one found the toy corner almost immediately, it is nicely tucked away behind one of the couches so they feel like they have their own space and toys can be pulled out into the open living room and played with. The layout was great, with the kitchen, living and dining area open to each other, so neither parent felt isolated. There is also a great den in the original stone house part that allowed us to watch a movie together while little one slept in the other living room. Thank you Kristi and family for the memories and experience!

A wonderful stay for my family! The sleeping arrangements worked very well...even for my two very tall boys. (Our bed was actually the most comfortable airbnb bed I've ever slept in!) The kitchen had everything we needed. The upstairs bathroom had the dreamiest shower since it's made for two! The family room addition off the kitchen was so nice, with the woodstove (that we lit both nights) and was perfect for keeping everyone together while I cooked dinner. We were able to watch an absolutely beautiful lightning storm off the front porch our first night and I spent the next two mornings watching all the backyard bird regulars...and I few I don't get at home. Bring your binoculars! K-State and all that Manhattan offers is very close by but we were in the country enough to deifnitely feel out of town. Two areas of caution--be sure to read thoroughly that others will be around you on the grounds and know that the 11 acres is for the horses, not for your exploration. We hope to be back!

The home was in the country and had a very cozy feeling. Kristi had made delicious pumpkin/ chocolate chip bread that everyone enjoyed. ( A very thoughtful gesture). The towels were fluffy, the bedding comfortable and the children loved the games , toys and swingset. We were gathering as extended family and were able to make some choice memories in a comfortable environment. We would stay again if ever in the area.
