It was great to have a place within about 5 minutes of the centre of the city and located right on the canal, and with a parking space too. Vera welcomed us in, having waited for us and kept in text communication as we were delayed by a motorway closure. From the outside the house looks quite modest, but it's a bit of a TARDIS. The upstairs lounge and downstairs bedroom are both nice and roomy, with views directly out onto the canal. The shower was lovely and we were cosy and warm, despite the usual March temperatures outside.

Fantastic location, so close to everything. Great watching Lancaster go by, but also like being in a goldfish bowl. Parking very good. Quite noisy on a Monday night with cathedral bells

Clayton Bridge House was a great base for visiting Lancaster - just a couple of minutes walk from the city centre pubs and restaurants - and with off-street parking. Kitchen and bathroom are both modern and well-equipped. Contact with the host and arrival arrangements were both very easy.
