This place will suit people who love nature and sensitive architecture using natural materials (the pictures do not do it justice!). Karine and Christophe were wonderful hosts. We loved our stay at Tete Canal, with stunning wildlife, good food and a perfect to unwind. We hope to come back! A couple of tips: - Make sure you have a copy of Karine's directions, especially if arriving at dusk or night! The Airbnb is up a track around 1km from the road, so you want a 4WD, and to make sure you're on the correct road! - When visiting Dominica, do book a local guide for long hikes. They explain so much about the flora and fauna, help maintain paths and remove litter. Invest in the biodiversity and keep it special - don't be obnoxious and rude! - The breakfast and dinners are delicious, but consider bringing some food with you. It is quite hard to source in La Plaine (we bought delicious lettuce from a man called Elias who lives near Sari-Sari Falls, and from Ron's Farmacy near Pont Casse).
