If you're looking for a unique, cozy, and vintage vibe, you've landed on the perfect page! The Silver Saguaro is nestled in a small, quiet desert community on the edge of the famous Saguaro National Park. I've created this sweet space adjacent to my Blue Barn Bohemian Sanctuary home, so you can either stay privately or combine spaces to join your friends in the main house! With views all your own of the sunsets, saguaros and mountain ranges, you will enjoy the best the desert has to offer! The Silver Saguaro has most of its unique, original features mixed with new updated appliances, mini microwave, mini fridge (there is no freezer), 4-burner gas stove, cold a/c, porcelain toilet, enclosed shower, and many fun artistic touches! Enjoy a beautiful night's sleep on the full sized spring mattress (PLEASE NOTE this is NOT a Queen mattress, two cozied-up smaller adults can sleep comfortably, but if you are a Lumberjack or a Linebacker, your partner may have to sleep on the couch!) Enjoy a private yard with lounge chairs, outdoor dining, fire pit, meditation maze, whimsical desert mural, and saguaro hammock! From here, you will find direct access to both walking and horse trails (see guestbook for maps!) You may bring a horse trailer with you with prior notice. The main house (Blue Barn Bohemian Sanctuary) will most likely either be occupied by myself or other Airbnb guests. I will let you know prior to your arrival if there will be occupants in the house. If there are no guests, you can also feel free to take advantage of the Blue Barn lounge and extended mountain views out back! The Silver Saguaro shares the front driveway to the house, with one private parking spot. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE. There is parking beside the RV for your use.
Such a beautiful, peaceful spot! The camper was so cozy and comfortable! She had it stocked with everything we could need. The heater made it so comfortable on a chilly night and the fire pit helped too. Shelly was so friendly and gave us great directions to a near by hike that was amazing! Honestly wished she had time to stay and have a glass of wine with us, however was very respectful of our privacy. Camper was clean, well stocked, private and comfortable and the shower was bigger than expected, water was nice and hot! An all around fantastic stay and would highly recommend! We hope to be back one day soon. Was hard for us to leave such a beautiful place and her camper and surrounding property made it even harder. Can’t thank you enough for an amazing experience! This was a spur of the moment find and we booked last minute and she made it so easy. So lucky to have found her little piece of heaven for our first stay in the area ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌞
Shelly is a fantastic host and we absolutely loved her place! She's a very helpful and responsive host, and her local recommendations are top notch! We loved the trailer, fire pit , peace, and the Wagon Wheel tavern, a great place!
This place was such a gem! Plenty of room for two and the views are just incredible. Lots of wildlife and a nice area to hang out have a fire and to drink some tea. Lots of coyotes at night too, it was great. Definitely would recommend! Nothing beats desert views from a classic retro airstream! 🌵
Tucson had some winter weather come through when I was there and before I checked in, Shelly had the tower heater going so it was already warm and cozy in the camper. The camper had everything that I needed for my time there. While I wasn’t able to take advantage of sitting out around the fire pit while I was there due to weather, the one day that the sun came out (while still cold), the courtyard was alive with birds and wildlife. I loved the location, it was the peaceful, private escape I needed. And the WiFi was strong for my remote work.
I may be partial, but I LOVE my neighborhood! It is made up of long time locals (and some newbies like myself) who take pride in neighborhood love and care. Straight out the front door, you will be on a road that takes you down paths filled with pristine nature vistas, leading you to various trails that wind through and around the national park. If you come across a sign that says Private Trust Land do not enter- That is actually ok to walk the paths. There is just one neighbor who will yell if you go down her road- and she has a sign saying so! It’s on Tula ln at the very north side so just avoid that area.
A plethora of breathtaking hiking trails and gorgeous cycling routes await you in and around the Saguaro National Park. There is a local market (and a great bar!) 5 minutes up the street, with all your other needs just a 15 minute drive through the saguaro-studded forest. Hwy 10 is a 15-minute drive, at the Cortaro exit. Phoenix Int'l airport is 1 hour 35 minutes to the north, with Tucson Int'l just 35 minutes to the south. The heart of downtown Tucson is a short hop on the freeway to the south.
The famous Desert Museum is just 9 miles up the road, with Old Tucson 3 miles further! Please see my virtual guestbook for my personalized recommendations and secret spots around the area ;)
I have two bikes that you may use on the dirt roads and paths within the neighborhood :)
自我介绍
I've been in the flight world for over 20 years, working presently as a corporate jet flight attendant and jumping out of planes on my days off! I bought my Tucson ranch paradise in 2019 and am absolutely in love whenever I am home. Sharing it with others has been more gratifying than I imagined, and I am always blown away at the sweet energy that is attracted into my space.
