Mio · 整套小木屋 · 2室5床1.0卫 · 可住6人 · "O Me, O Mio" Cabin near the AuSable River
Adventure seekers, it's time to break free from the hustle and bustle of city life and explore the great outdoors. O Me, O Mio is the perfect home base for your next outdoor excursion. Settle into your private cabin surrounded by nature, tails and let the nearby river guide you on an unforgettable journey. Discover a new side of yourself and the world around you. HOME SPACE: Master bedroom has a queen bed. Living room has a 2 hide-a-beds. The loft has two full size beds. (CAUTION: There are cables that keep the roof straight in the loft on the floor. Please use caution so there are no injuries.) Room enough for 9 people ($25 charge for each additional person over 6 guests). Just about everything is provided for you (linens, towels, fully stocked kitchen, etc). Not sure if I have something you need, ask me. A propane grill has been provided for your use (you are responsible to clean it after use and I do not supply the fuel). There is only a 20 gallon hot water heater (that means quick showers with a full house). A furnace is available for heat. It is fueled by propane. There is an electric fireplace for ambiance (please do not use this to help heat the cabin at night) in the living room and main floor bedroom. A window AC unit is installed during the summer in the kitchen and a fan for the loft. CELL SIGNAL & TELEVISION: The location of the cabin is set in the Huron National Forest and it is difficult to get any signals through the trees for WiFi and television. I have been unsuccessful at tuning in any local channels. I have opted not to have internet or cable television at this location as this is a cabin to disconnect from the world as mentioned in the description. Some cell providers do receive good signal here and you may experience great connectivity to the point emails and messages still come through. Movies and games are provided at the cabin for “rainy days” and there is plenty of nature to explore. Maps and guides are provided at the cabin for various exploration/activities that allow you to enjoy the natural habitat surrounding the cabin. PROPERTY: The cabin sits on under a half acre of land. There is limited space for parking multiple vehicles so I recommend carpooling as much as you can. If you are planning to bring snowmobiles in the winter, please note the property can probably accommodate one trailer. There is no actual driveway so feel free to park on the lawn but not by the sheds up front (my septic tank an the septic pipe goes through that area). There is a firepit for your use I just encourage you to please use caution and safety at all times during use and when you are done with it each night. ** PLEASE NOTE: LARGE CAMPERS AND TRAILERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO MANEUVER THEM ON THE TRAILS TO THE CABIN. ** NEIGHBORHOOD: This cabin is located in a small rural community. There are several nearby neighbors, it is not secluded but gives that vibe. Did I mention I have the best neighbors?? Well I do! They will treat you just like part of the neighborhood and welcome you in. Please be respectful of noise level during the week as my neighbors do have to get up for work pretty early. The neighbors behind me do have two dogs who are not leashed when they are outside. Please keep an eye on your dog(s) at all times. NOTE ABOUT PETS: I am not held responsible for any injuries or damages caused by/to your pet. Your pet is your responsibility and must be under control at all times. You must clean up after your pet. Leashes, food/water bowls, poop bags and beds are provided. Please keep your dog(s) off of the furniture. They must be crated if left alone for over an hour. Please do not bring your dog if it has any fleas or illnesses. Your dog(s) must be licensed and up to date on shots. ****NOW AVAILABLE**** Baby equipment rentals through BabyQuip!! I am unable to accommodate the storage of all things baby, so I have created this additional business so you can rent items from me and have them delivered to the cabin. Ask me about it if you are needing baby equipment during your stay. FEES: Again there is an additional $10 charge per guest per night over 6 guests (no more than 9 people at this location). There is a pet fee of $30. There is a $300 security deposit that will be sent as an additional charge. This will be refunded upon departure if no damage has been found. If damage has been found it will be held pending investigation. Please note, if damage is found above $300.00 that amount will be due in full after a full investigation is completed. The costs of those items will be for replacement cost, not current value of the item.
Great place for weekend getaway. Great location to go enjoy nature. Will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It’s peaceful and cozy. It was the perfect place for us to play our board games and watch Halloween movies on the DVD player while it rained outside.
Would recommend this place for sure. Traci was a wonderful host. Communication was top notch and the cabin had everything we could need for a week long stay. Quiet neighborhood. Will definitely be back!
The cabin is located in the heart of McKinley. There are several other cabins and homes nearby. The cabin is located on a two track road so please drive slowly through the neighborhood and use caution as the road is uneven. Using GPS should get you right to the cabin but often times different mapping systems could take you to the wrong address. I do provide more detailed directions as the time gets closer to your arrival as the two tracks are not labeled with road names. Incorrect GPS coordinates are often the case in more rural locations. It is partially your responsibility to ensure you have the correct directions and understanding of the directions. I try to be as thorough as possible. All of the neighbors get along pretty well.
Parking is on site but limited space is available. I do not allow large trailers, campers or RVs on site as it is difficult to get down the winding two-track trails to the cabin.
自我介绍
Born and raised in Northern Lower Michigan, moved away for 20 years to experience the "city life" and then moved back to be by family. I remember traveling over Zilwaukee Bridge thinking to myself "ah, it already feels like home" and that is just the feeling I want you to have at my place. I hope it gives you that same feeling of relaxation, peacefulness and serenity. I lived in Oscoda County for 23 years and when I returned to northern Michigan, I wanted to give opportunity for you to enjoy the experiences that surround the area.
